WHO YOU'll WORK WITH
The Nike Planning Function combines insights and analytics to sense and craft how much product consumers will want, where and when they’ll want it. This offense combines work in the Merchandise Financial Planning (MFP) and Assortment Planning (AP) sub functions to support a more detailed and flexible approach to serve consumers and drive inventory efficiency for NIKE and our partners.
You will be a part of the Nike Marketplace Partners (NMP) MFP team and closely interact with the NMP AP teams to ensure plans and directions are aligned long term, pre-season and in-season. Planning is a crucial member of the integrated commercial teams, shaping marketplace plans in line with Nike’s strategic priorities and keeping the consumer at the center of strategy. You will collaborate closely with partner management, AP, finance, consumer MFP, supply chain and merchandising.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a Lead Merch Financial Planner, NMP EMEA to create a 6 season rolling MFP for one (or more) major accounts, grounded in revenue, inventory, retails sales, profitability, productivity, margin, and consumer centricity. You will create pre-season plans that support the commercial goals of Nike and consumer field of play. You will manage these plans through to in-season optimization and delivery of commercial targets through a robust rolling forecast process and collaborative offense within the Integrated commercial teams and various cross-functional stakeholders.
You have 8+ years of work experience and demonstrated experience in business planning (both retail and wlsl) & good understanding of finance, merchandizing and supply chain planning processes
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to engage efficiently with a broad range of audiences including retail partner, senior business leaders and other senior planning leaders
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent knowledge of automated planning systems, particularly Excel
Can identify commercial opportunities and leads decision making based on well-developed merch financial plans
Demonstrated ability to influence and design compelling communication grounded in data
A strategic outlook and experience in leading projects
Ability to influence senior stakeholders through clear storytelling & business acumen
Bigger picture thinking by understanding how the Nike matrix operates x-functionally
WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON
Shape and contribute to 6 season Merchandise Financial Plan & Stock and Sales Plan (Retail Sales and inventory) for Consumer Fields of Play x Marketplace Units (MPU) including management of R&O
Maintain Merch Financial Plan at sub-MPU dimensions (e.g. banner, account, account group) and act as a planning function representative and influencer in MPU specific alignment meetings
Partner with key stakeholders within MPU and across Geo to drive marketplace business health throughout 6 season planning horizon
Influence and execute In-Season optimization within Marketplace
Reconcile Assortment Plans with Merch Financial Plan Rolling Forecast and Align to Consumer Fields of Play
Execute cross-MPU trade-off actions to drive consumer demand, Nike and partner margin and optimize overall marketplace inventory health
Act as the planning representative within a CFOP Squad, responsible for end-to-end functional and marketplace awareness as the sole functional squad member
Drive projects independently and lead through others in the absence of official hierarchy (day-to-day)
