WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
In this role, you’ll partner closely with the North America (NA) All Condition Gear (ACG) merchandising team, which works alongside the NA Running team, as well as the Global ACG Merchandising team. You’ll collaborate with a cross-functional NA ACG team that includes sales, brand marketing, planning, and marketplace supply chain. You’ll be part of the Running + ACG Footwear team and work closely with the Lead ACG Apparel Merchant to shape the holistic NA ACG strategy.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We’re seeking an experienced merchant who thrives in a dynamic environment and brings a strategic mindset. This role requires the ability to drive high-level assortment strategy while managing a complex business at a detailed level. You will own all day-to-day line plan management tasks—such as adoption, price updates, tagging, and sample management—while driving seasonal assortment strategy.
5+ years of relevant industry experience in merchandising
Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising or a related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and training
Experience in footwear, apparel, and/or equipment merchandising
Proven expertise in franchise management and understanding of retail KPIs and profit-based metrics
Strong strategic thinking skills to shape the future of the business
Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences and levels of leadership
Responds with speed, agility, curiosity, and motivation
Collaborative mindset that brings people together to solve complex challenges
Ability to cultivate innovation while ensuring accountability
Communicates vision and purpose and leads effectively in complex situations
Skilled at solving problems with limited information and anticipating future implications
Advises others on complex matters requiring deep knowledge or conceptual thinking
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
You’ll operate in a fast-paced environment on a highly dynamic business. ACG is in its start-up phase, and you’ll play a key role in bringing this incredible product to life for outdoor enthusiasts.
Work directly with the cross-functional ACG leadership team and participate in weekly Integrated Business Alignments (IBAs) and Integrated Business Executions (IBEs)
Own key seasonal gates including Quarterly Business Review (QBR), Corporate Strategy Review (CSR), and monthly franchise management
Build trust and drive collaborative partnerships with global and downstream geo partners
Develop a holistic strategy for how ACG Footwear comes to life in the NA marketplace, including product lifecycles, color breadth and depth, and marketplace segmentation
Manage all daily line plan tasks including adoption, pricing, and maintaining accurate Visual Line Plans and seasonal tools
Collaborate with the Lead Apparel ACG Merchant and ACG Channel Merchant to deliver a complete vision for the consumer
Drive the ACG footwear business end-to-end and represent the NA geo in all key seasonal gates (Merchandising Assortment Review, Leadership Strategic Review, Line Planning)
