WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a Global Jordan Streetwear Lead Assortment Planner to establish clear end to end bottom-up merchandise plans to ensure consumer demand is met and a healthy pull market is maintained.  This role will partner with Merchandising and Business Planning to create a line grounded in profitability, productivity, and consumer-centric offerings.  The Lead planner will be an enterprise thinker and have the ability to influence and gain leadership alignment on current state and future plans to meet all objectives for our Icons business.  Every day, our assortment planners step up to address difficult issues, operate effectively when the way forward isn't clear, develop innovative ideas and they win with consumers by understanding their business to drive success. 

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON

If this is you, you will develop seasonal plans and monthly forecasts inclusive of sales, margin and inventory at the style level (leveraging analytics) and develop strategies to meet Jordan Streetwear financial goals. In a typical day/week you will build bottom-up forecasts to inform pre-season decisions, weekly sales analysis to identify risk and opportunities, collaborate with your Geo and Global cross functional teams to manage performance and provide post-season assortment insights and recommendations to key stakeholders.  You will be responsible for providing leadership the necessary recaps and analysis on the state of the business across the seasonal horizon. 

WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH

You will report to the Global Jordan Streetwear Planning Director, and you will partner with key stakeholders across Merch, Product and Business Planning to optimize business health throughout the entirety of the product life cycle. You'll also stay connected to other Planners and succeed through your ability to collaborate and drive action and results.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Sales, Retail, Marketing or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training
  • 4 or more years directly relevant work experience
  • Demonstrated experience in assortment planning and understanding of financial, product and inventory planning
  • Current understanding of consumer and marketplace trends
  • The ability to leverage statistical forecasting, data science and new ways of working to develop plans and drive better decisions pre and in-season
  • Strong Excel skills are essential
  • Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills by developing accurate plans that optimize trade-offs and outcomes
  • Strong ability to influence and ability to design compelling communication grounded in data for key leadership stakeholders
  • Ability to work across a matrixed environment
