Lead Software Engineer - NIKE, Inc. - Beaverton, OR. Develop, code, configure, and test programs and systems and solutions problem in order to meet designed digital product specification and direction; manage the team on gathering detail design, solving complex problems; ensure Tech Design driven by the Engineering Manager has the right level of detail and meets the product technical and business needs; oversee the design and build components, frameworks and libraries at scale to support NIKE Global products; review design, code, test plans, and dataset implementation performed by other engineers in support of maintaining NIKE engineering standards; anticipate, identify, and troubleshoot complex issues and perform root cause analysis to proactively resolve products and operational issues; manage the process of building continuous integration, test-driven development and production deployment frameworks; ensure test automation, continuous integration and delivery, observability and instrumentation, scalability, high-availability, penetration and security testing, Service Level Agreements, impotency, and improvement of ops metrics; mentor and guide other software engineers within the team; work closely with Architects and other tech leads to make sure all solutions adhere to existing guidelines and principles and assist in evolving our processes to continuously improve; partner with the engineering and Global product managers to deliver innovative software solutions for NIKE; and review, analyze, and modify programming systems, including coding, testing, debugging, and installing for a small- to mid-scale systems. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the U.S., except from AK, AL, AR, DE, HI, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, MT, ND, NE, NH, NM, NV, OH, OK, RI, SD, VT, WV, and WY. 

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or Electronics Engineering and Five (5) years of progressive post baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related computer occupation.  
 
Experience must include:  

  • Jira 

  • Service Now 

  • Software Data Security 

  • System Workflow and Analysis 

  • Workday Global Compensation (Core and Advanced) implementations 

  • Integrating Global Compensation systems, Finance, Retail, and External Vendor systems 

  • Workday compensation review configuration 

  • Workday tools like iLoad, Object Transporter, EIBs, Core Connector and BIRT 

  • Web services such as REST and SOAP 

  • Workday data transfer protocol 

  • Workday Reports such as Advanced, Matrix, and Composite reports 

  • Support Workday Audits both internal and external 

  • Support workday bi-annual upgrade 

  • Streamlining or automation of processes for cost savings and efficiencies
