Nike is looking for a Lead Technical Product Manager to drive the development and delivery of scalable, developer-centric cloud platform capabilities. You will work at the intersection of business, technology, and platform engineering, playing a pivotal role in defining the roadmap, building internal cloud platform products, and enabling engineering teams to ship faster with confidence.

This role requires a combination of deep cloud platform expertise, strong product management skills, and a passion for translating complex infrastructure concepts into clear, value-driven product requirements that improve developer experience, governance, and cost efficiency across Nike's technology ecosystem.

In your job function you will work and collaborate with

  • Cloud platform engineering, SRE, and FinOps teams
  • Principal Technical Product Managers and Directors (Technical Product Management)

  • Product strategy and road mapping at multi-squad scale for internal platform capabilities.
  • Deep technical understanding of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including landing zones, IAM, and resource tagging.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, and working knowledge of APIs, microservices, and SQL.
  • Proven experience with cloud cost management practices (Cloud FinOps) and commercial optimization tools.
  • Stakeholder alignment and communication across functions; value-driven prioritization using frameworks applied with judgment.
  • Risk and dependency management across squads and partner teams; participation in at least four full-cycle projects or multiple projects across various phases of development.
  • Strong experience working in matrix organizations, managing wide stakeholder networks, and navigating cross-product dependencies across time zone.
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira, Confluence, Figma, and LucidChart.
  • Storytelling abilities for effectively propagating the impact of platform solutions across the enterprise.
  • A strategic thinker with a passion for cloud platform technologies and their potential to accelerate engineering productivity and operational excellence.
  • A doer who can perform hands-on work, create detailed product artifacts, work effectively in JIRA, collaborate closely with engineering teams, and organize incoming information efficiently.
  • A leader who shields engineering teams from the influx of information, change requests, and new requirements, allowing them to focus on design, delivery, and achieving engineering excellence.
  • A collaborative team player skilled at navigating cross-functional teams and driving alignment without direct authority.
  • A problem-solver who thrives in ambiguity and brings clarity through well-defined strategies and execution plans.
  • An expert who champions platform adoption, developer experience, and has the ability to influence decisions across technical and business teams.
  • achelor's or Master's Degree in an Engineering Discipline. MBA is preferrable but not mandatory

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

  •  Define and execute product strategy aligned to quarterly, annual, and organizational goals for cloud platform products.
  • Lead cross-functional squads through the full product lifecycle: discovery, delivery, adoption, and iteration.
  • Translate complex cloud infrastructure concepts—landing zones, IAM, tagging, guardrails—into prioritized, defensible roadmaps and clear trade-off narratives.
  • Define the long-term vision, strategy, and roadmap for developer-facing cloud platform capabilities, ensuring alignment with business objectives and leadership priorities.
  • Conduct user research with internal engineering teams, analyze platform adoption feedback, and identify opportunities to improve developer experience and platform reuse.
  • Translate business and engineering needs into actionable technical product requirements, user stories, and a prioritized, groomed product backlog with clear feature descriptions, epics, and acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate with cloud platform engineers, SRE, FinOps, security, and engineering leaders to design and integrate platform capabilities that improve velocity, reliability, and cost efficiency.
  • Embed cost awareness and FinOps practices into platform design decisions; partner with FinOps teams on commercial optimization and cloud cost governance.
  • Define and track platform health metrics, SLOs, adoption KPIs, and developer experience indicators; present outcomes in Monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews.
  • Manage dependencies and technical debt in partnership with engineering leads; tie debt reduction to business and platform outcomes.
  • Balance platform reliability with new feature demand; prioritize investments using signals from adoption, incident trends, and stakeholder needs.
  • Promote Technical Product Management best practices, tooling, and frameworks; mentor Senior Technical Product Managers.
  • Influence stakeholders across teams, functions, and time zones to align on priorities and outcomes without direct authority.
  • Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, reviews, and demo sessions to drive successful product delivery.
  • Resolve dependencies between platform and product teams, manage risks, and proactively address blockers as they arise.
  • Lead the product lifecycle from ideation and prototyping to launch, optimization, and sunset, ensuring continuous delivery of value.
  • Foster collaboration across technical and business teams, ensuring alignment on priorities, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Develop and communicate technical concepts, roadmaps, and product strategies effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
