The annual base salary for this position ranges from $102,800.00 in our lowest geographic market to $210,000.00 in our highest geographic market. Actual salary will vary based on a candidate's location, qualifications, skills and experience.

In 1981, Nike created the EKIN team (EKIN is “Nike” spelled backwards) to be Nike’s Athlete Missionaries and serve as a reminder to go back to the days when athletes represented Nike, converted other athletes to our shoes and built personal and meaningful relationships in the community!

Every athlete seeking a personal best pursues it with some form of mentorship. We are building a robust team of EKINs charged with representing Nike across the marketplace with key partners. How do you feel about rounding up and providing leadership and guidance to a team of EKINs? Do you have that relentless desire to win? Are you okay with winning with and through others?

We are seeking an EKIN Manager based in New York City to provide direction, mentor, and lead a team of EKINs managing relationships in the field! You will lead and enable a team that drive inspiration, energy, and education for retail associates against seasonal brand priorities, ensuring consistency and cohesion across plans. Additionally, this role will drive EKIN-specific strategies connected to Nike’s community partnerships across North America's geography and craft local adaptations by the team.

Ideal candidates bring some experience leading ambitious individuals remotely. They possess strong communication and influence skills, effective collaboration, a strong understanding of Retail and Brand marketing, thoughtful team leadership, and critical thinking that can deliver impactful results.

What you will work on

  • In collaboration with Marketing, Stores, and key business partners, you will drive seasonal education priorities for North America that connect with the local consumers and marketplace against critical brand priorities
  • Establish strong cross-functional partnerships and ensure operational excellence across critical touchpoints key deliverables
  • Lead a team of EKINs across the New York/Boston Marketplace that will deliver education experiences for their local stores as well as in the digital, virtual space for the broader marketplace
  • Prioritize a team culture that is inclusive, positive, and supportive that develops a critical talent pipeline for Nike
  • Drive integration and EKIN participation in collaboration with Nike’s community partnerships that connect youth to running and sport
  • Deliver solutions that increase impact for the marketplace through idea sharing, complimentary plans, and resource optimization

Who will you work with

You will report into the North America EKIN Director and will work closely with the Retail Marketing, Partner Marketing, and Brand Marketing Teams. You will work alongside other EKIN Managers as part of the EKIN Leadership Team, and will regularly partner with EKIN Operations Manager and Coordinator for process, project, and budget management. You will lead a team of EKINs responsible for supporting key doors across your territory. Key partnerships for this role include Retail Marketing, Stores Ops, EKIN Ops, Brand Marketing, New York City Marketing, Partner Marketing, and your fellow EKIN teammates.

What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience or combination of relevant education, experience, and training
  • 5 yrs+ leading and developing teams to achieve results, or comparable leadership experience
  • A minimum 5-years retail, marketing, sales, customer service, coaching or teaching experience
  • Knowledge of internal Nike systems, networks and standard methodologies preferred
  • Authentic connection to Sport as an active participant with strong connections in the sport-community
  • Solid understanding of digital world, social media and trends in this space
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Experience with an event agency or large-scale special events preferred but not required
