WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

This role will report to the Senior Director of Design in the Innovation Space Kitchen while regularly partnering with cross functional teams across innovation, design, engineering, materials, sports researchers and development. You may also engage with athletes* and collaborate with external vendor and factory partners.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking an outstanding Senior Expert Designer in the Innovation Space Kitchen to combine their footwear design experience, innovative problem solving abilities, and entrepreneurial leadership to help shape the future of sport.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • BA/BFA/MA/MFA in Industrial Design, Product Design, Fashion Design, Material design, Computational Design, Design Engineering or a combination of relevant education, experience and training.
  • Minimum of 8 years Footwear Design and/ or Innovation experience and knowledge.
  • Creative and team leadership across a variety of experiences (consumer/segment/dimensions).
  • Innovation, athlete and deep performance unlocks rooted in product creation knowledge.
  • Mastery of make and manufacturing. Advanced knowledge of product construction concepts, including but not limited to pattern engineering, model making, part drawings, materials, manufacturing processes, and sustainability concepts. Comfortable with equipment and tools for hands-on concepting and prototyping.
  • Mastery of presentation and communication skills.
  • Mastery of design skills and creative processes inclusive of consumer insights and business context. Ability to ideate, generate, develop, and execute designs and product details including form, style, construction, material, color, trim, etc., considering performance, fit, and feel.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit who can think holistically across product design and business for opportunities to disrupt.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and manage short-term and long-range projects.
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal guidance, embrace ambiguity, ensuring key dates and deliverables are met.
  • Strong team player, successful collaborator, ability to inspire others, understands that failure is part of the creative innovation process.
