As a Senior Retail Manager, you will report directly to the Retail Director. You will need to lead and develop a team of Head Coaches and Store Leadership team while managing overall performance.  You will be part of a highly-matrix, larger cross-functional team that will require you to build unbreakable relationships across a variety of leadership styles that are all working towards one common goal.  People appreciate your ability to be resourceful in the face of ambiguity, to be an energy giver and problem solver through the day-to-day grind and develop future leaders for our business. 

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are searching for an accomplished retail leader that prides themselves on leading and inspiring a diverse team across multiple locations to execute our Nike Store global strategies. A Senior Retail Manager needs to inspire their teams to elevate overall team engagement and deliver operational standards across multiple locations.  They are responsible for developing the vision and business strategies vital to achieve sales, operations and organizational goals of customer satisfaction, profitability and productivity. 

WHAT WILL YOU BRING

  • Senior Retail Leadership Expertise - either through leading a portfolio of stores, or multi-store project implementation
  • Commercial retail acumen with proven experience leading store teams through a blend of actions focused on improving retail KPI’s
  • Outstanding experience in managing and inspiring a team (leadership development, employee relations, loss prevention, scheduling/work force management, efficient door to floor understanding through retail systems, engagement and creating a team spirit) in the SEA marketplace
  • Critical Thinking: Demonstrated success of leading and delivering pivotal initiatives aligned to future marketplace development
  • Willing to travel across SEA locations 80% of the Time
  • Demonstrates the ability to build, lead and manage high performing teams while utilising the tools to support conflict resolution and performance management.
  • Advanced communication skills that demonstrate the ability to story tell through verbal, written and presentation skills while being able to actively listen to inform decisions, build trust and enhance overall engagement.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

On any given day, you might be in-store leading and developing your team to achieve the overall strategy, at the same time inspiring and developing your direct reports and their teams.  You would be assessing business trends, performance management needs and operational requirements to maximise a store’s full potential.  On other days, you will be working with cross-functional stakeholders to share insights, build action plans and influence support required to serve our stores and deliver our strategy.

  • Drive district business, brand and talent strategy
  • Build action plans to maximize profitability, productivity and healthy business growth including CFOP
  • Ensure and empower consistent elevated execution across stores
  • Lead openings, closures, or refits within your region
  • Travel and implement store & market visits based on Nike Direct Strategy, with >80% of time spent in retail
  • Manage, develop and build leadership and retail acumen in Head Coaches and Store Leadership to unlock potential
  • Support your Store teams in all questions of trade & business, leadership, digital transformation, HR and all operational topics. Partner with HQ team to resolve HR, LP and Product issue escalations
  • Partner with relevant collaborators at Nike Direct team across Store Development, Retail Operations, Retail Marketing, DSM, HR & others
