WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

Partners cross‑functionally with Sport Merchandising, Sport Planning, Business Planning, Sales, Finance, Marketing/Brand, and Marketplace teams to deliver consumer‑centric, profitable sport assortments across seasons.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a Senior Sport Planner for Basketball Footwear and Apparel to lead allocation‑driven, consumer‑focused planning across the seasons. This role is responsible for shaping assortment and financial plans that align to key basketball moments and product launches, ensuring Basketball franchises are positioned to win in the marketplace while maintaining long‑term health.
Basketball planning is inherently athlete‑ and franchise‑driven, and success in this role depends on bringing a strong point of view to cross‑functional partners. The Senior Sport Planner influences decisions around how much product we sell into the market and how effectively we sell through, balancing near‑term opportunity with sustainable franchise performance. This role requires clear ownership of the business, strong financial and marketplace acumen, and the ability to use data and insight to guide partners toward the right outcomes for Basketball Footwear and Apparel.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Finance or related field, or equivalent combination of education, experience or training.

  • 3–5+ years of experience in assortment planning, merchandise planning, demand planning, or related retail planning roles

  • Strong understanding of retail and planning KPIs (sales, margin, inventory, weeks of supply, sell‑through, SKU efficiency)

  • Proven ability to influence across a matrix, using clear, data‑driven storytelling

  • Advanced Excel and analytical skills; experience with planning tools and systems preferred

  • Strategic thinker who can balance consumer insight, financial rigor, and operational execution

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

  • Build end‑to‑end, bottom‑up seasonal assortment and financial plans (sales, margin, inventory) at the style/color level aligned to sport strategies

  • Create pre‑season plans and manage in‑season optimization through rolling forecasts and weekly/monthly business recaps

  • Analyze POS, marketplace, and inventory performance to identify risk and opportunity, translating insights into clear actions

  • Lead Consumer Planning through ladder plan build‑out, developing clear depth, flow, and SKU architecture that reflects consumer demand, price‑value ladders, and franchise intent

  • Partner with Merchandising and Sport teams to ensure ladder plans are grounded in consumer insights, marketplace realities, and long‑term franchise health

  • Present plans, forecasts, and insights to senior leadership and cross‑functional partners, influencing decisions across the seasonal horizon

We offer a number of accommodations to complete our interview process including screen readers, sign language interpreters, accessible and single location for in-person interviews, closed captioning, and other reasonable modifications as needed.
