WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
The Stores Junior Planner will be part of the Demand and Supply Management team, reporting directly to the Director of Nike Direct Stores Planning and will work closely with the Merchandise Financial Planner, Allocations team, and In Season Analyst on weekly, monthly, and seasonal basis. In this role you will build strong partnerships with cross-functional teams across Marketplace Operations, Brand, VM and will lead communications to our Stores and Retail Teams ensuring that our seasonal promotional plans are maximised to deliver our financial goals.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a Location Planner/Junior Planner to build and deliver sales and inventory plans for our Nike Value Stores and Company Store with the goal to achieve sales and manage capacity levels during peak consumer moments. We are looking for someone who can forecast with agility to execute promotional plans to achieve sales budgets, act quickly with an analytical and data-driven mindset and lead clear communications across different cross-functional teams.
We are looking for a Location/Junior Planner who has strong attention to detail, who can operate in a fast-paced environment to consistently prioritise workload to achieve set timelines. To be successful, you will need:
- 1-2 years+ retail planning experience, in a vertical retail business or similar with experience in store forecasting and promotional planning.
- Strong understanding of financial metrics, retail KPIs and product and inventory planning with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, sales, retail, supply chain, economics or related fields highly desired.
- Strong influencing and stakeholder management experience and confidence to engage with multiple cross functional teams.
- Demonstrated skills in using Microsoft Office Suite, with a focus on Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint, and Experience in Just Enough or other planning software is highly desirable.
- Drives innovation and action by stimulating discussion, generating ideas, actively listening to produce outcomes and create results.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
You will be an integral part of the team, leading the planning direction communications to our Store Head Coaches and Regional District Manager, you will work closely with our Merchandise Financial Planner to align on in season and pre-season forecasts at a store level.
- Be responsible for forecasting and delivering on sales and inventory plans, by managing capacity and stock receipts into stores to maximise sales and mitigate risks caused by being over and under capacity.
- Manage the setup and communication of store promotions with Stores and the Nike Direct Marketing and VM teams. This will also include initiating tactical promotions to mitigate sales loss and/or mitigate capacity risk.
- Produce and analyse weekly trade reports to identify gaps, opportunities and drive actions, including tracking KPIs across traffic, sales, units, capacity and conversion rates and play a lead role in trade discussions.
- Work closely with the Merchandise Financial Planner and Allocators to plan and execute store plans, as well as the In Season Analyst to identify ongoing promotions based on current or future high stock levels.
- Be the primary DSM partner for door openings and closures and represent planning in real estate meetings with a focus on forecasting de-stocking and load-ins based off key dates, CC counts, capacity and forecasted plans.
- Be responsible for pre-season planning including creating store fixture and capacity calculations by store to inform store product investment.
