The Asia Pacific/Latin America (APLA) Supply & Inventory Management (S&IM) team’s mission is to responsibly manage the supply we purchase and the inventory we and partners own, in service of profitable growth for Nike. Our team works with stakeholders in the APLA organization (Geo and Territory) as well as Nike’s Global Supply & Inventory Operation teams. Our team has governance over Finished Goods purchasing processes and recovery action plans to solve for buy and late delivery issues.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
APLA S&IM is looking for a Supply and Inventory Planner. This role will support and participate in seasonal planning and execution for a given Territory, serving as the team’s primary point of contact for all supply planning and purchasing activities. This candidate will ensure the rights products are planned and purchased at the right time, evaluate risks and opportunities, escalate issues, and communicate all relevant information within S&IP and Geo/Terr x-functional teams to drive optimal business results. This role partners cross functionally, representing S&IP, representing key metrics and actions.
This candidate will ensure the right products are planned and purchased at the right time, evaluate risks and opportunities, escalate issues, and communicate all relevant information across S&IM, Geography, and Territory cross‑functional partners to drive optimal business results.
The candidate needs to have a proven track record of information seeking, analytical skills, resolving complex business issues, and making sound decisions, as well as the ability to communicate complex and/or business‑critical topics to a wide and diverse audience. Experience working with distributor models or multi‑stakeholder environments is a plus.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
- A typical day/week revolves around facilitating twice monthly delivery planning process and ensure that all materials are planned and purchased on the appropriate timelines.
- You will be responsible for executing and managing supply commitments through creation of POs, maintaining changes, ensuring accuracy, and ensuring product movement from factory to DC as expected.
- You’ll be conducting analysis to proactively identify challenges and tell a story through core business metrics (PIFOT, Coverage, and Unplanned). This includes supporting flow optimization decisions (M1/M2/M3) where relevant to the Mexico Territory.
- You will be proactively driving actions to keep a healthy inventory position… escalating issues that will cause unfulfilled demand and/or delays. You will participate in unplanned resolution processes and help recommend mitigations, including flow adjustments or expedite (FAF) considerations where appropriate.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
You will report into the Supply & Inventory Management Territory Manager, working closely with Nike Territory Planning and Inventory Ops teams, Geography Sports Planning and Merch teams, Global Supply Planning, and other partner teams as needed.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Minimum of 1 year of supply/inventory planning or supply chain experience
- Bachelor’s degree, or an additional 2 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
- Excellent written, spoken, and visual communication skills, with demonstrated capability converting complex concepts into clear and compelling stories
- Flexibility in switching between strategic, tactical, and operational levels of work
- Superior interpersonal, influencing, and facilitation skills; ability to work cross‑functionally and cross‑culturally, fostering productive relationships with key partners
- Validated strong analytical skills, with ability to extract insights from large datasets and create executive‑ready storytelling
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, Power Query/Power Pivot, macros, etc.)
- Strong collaboration/teamwork skills to work with multiple stakeholders
- Ability to demonstrate good decision‑making in ambiguous circumstances
- Must have tolerance for a complex, ever‑changing and dynamic work environment (duplicate removed; now appears only once)
- Participate on projects, including system releases, as assigned
Additional Tech Experience
- Prior SAP experience preferred, including PRA/PRD access, PO creation/cancellation (including MPOs), and use of Order Management Reports
- Experience using BHP for real‑time PO visibility, reporting, and downloads
- Experience using APO DP for demand planning inputs
- Familiarity with STR (SAP live buy plan) for buy signal validation
- Familiarity with NikeConnect (PMD/PDP) for product and material validations
