Director, JD Men's & Size? - JD Sports

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

The Sales Director will report into the Senior Director JD Sports & Size? and will manage a team of 6 Nike Sales Representatives. The Sales Director will play a pivotal role in the critical part of the business in the Mens agenda and work closely with the Functional counterparts in Marketing, DSM, Finance and Supply Chain. The role will drive and deliver for JD, Size? and JD International. This role will also manage critical external stakeholders as part of the JD partnerships.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The Sales Director needs to have a very strong Sales (Partner management) and Team management experience.

The candidate brings:

  • Strong retail and commercial acumen with proven P&L ownership for a region or category, underpinned by a comprehensive understanding of retail, business, and commercial KPIs.

  • Demonstrated ability to define and execute consumer‑led strategies informed by market trends, with strong knowledge of the JD Group and Size? businesses and the sport, lifestyle apparel, and footwear landscape for Mens.

  • Extensive stakeholder management experience, with a proven ability to partner, influence, and communicate effectively with senior leaders, internal teams, and multiple external partners in a complex, matrixed environment.

  • Passionate people leader with 4+ years of team management experience, fostering a collaborative, team‑first culture across diverse, cross‑functional teams.

  • Results‑driven leader with relentless energy, high attention to detail, and a proactive, can‑do mindset, consistently striving for excellence.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, relationship‑building, and influencing skills, both internally and externally.

  • Brings contagious energy that builds a winning culture across JD Group, driving delivery against the Group’s mission and objectives.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or a minimum of 10 years’ experience in retail, sales, merchandising, or a related commercial role.

  • Broad marketplace expertise across retail stores, sales, digital, product, partner management, and financial acumen, with the ability to interpret sales and analytics data to drive informed decisions and business impact.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

As the Sales Director your main responsibilities will be:

  • Drive net revenue, market share, and margin growth in line with Nike EMEA targets, with a strong focus on retail KPIs.

  • Own the commercial partnership with the account, including P&L, trade terms, and distribution strategy, ensuring sustainable mutual profitability within the Mens space.

  • Contribute and execute a clear account strategy aligned to EMEA Marketplace and Sales priorities.

  • Maintain a strong, regular presence with the account and in the marketplace to drive partnership, execution, and results.

  • Lead future‑season planning through CODE and sell‑in excellence, while maximizing in‑season performance through shipping cadence, AA/At‑Once optimization, and proactive orderbook management.

  • Drive product and assortment impact with a focus on segmentation, distinction, and Retail Elevation to deliver marketplace differentiation.

  • Lead cross‑functional teams through seasonal Go‑To‑Market execution and customer alignment to land seasonal priorities.

  • Collaborate across retail, operations, and marketplace teams to deliver the integrated marketplace vision.

  • Be directly accountable for delivering key seasonal and full‑year sales, revenue, and inventory targets.

  • Lead, coach, and develop high‑performing teams while fostering a winning, performance‑driven culture.
