DIRECTOR, SALES, FOOT LOCKER

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

The Sales Director will report into the Senior Director Foot Locker and will manage directly a team of 9 Nike Account Sales Executives. The Sales Director will play a pivotal role in the Foot Locker Leadership Team and work closely with the Functional counterparts in Marketing, Planing, Finance and Supply Chain. The main Foot Locker (account) counterparts will be Foot Locker Senior Directors and Vice Presidents.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The Sales Director needs to have a very strong Sales (Partner management) and Team management experience.

The candidate brings:

  • Strong expertise and credibility in Sportswear (and Basketball) from a consumer, product and marketplace pov.

  • A solid track record in Sales/Partner Management (at least 7y) with experience in directly dealing with senior account stakeholders (e.g. buying directors, senior directors, VP’s)

  • Team management: a passionate people manager with at least 4y of people/team management experience.

  • Achieves results: relentless energy to consistently strive for excellence and go after results, even under tough circumstances.

  • Strategic Thinking: ability to create account strategic plans and drive excellence in execution.

  • Financial acumen and Planning/Retail KPI mastery.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Excellent relationship building and influencing skills (internal/external)

  • Contagious energy to foster a team/winning culture across the Foot Locker Integrated Account Team that allows us to deliver against the mission we have with Foot Locker in EMEA.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
 

As the Sales Director Foot Locker your main responsibilities will be: 

  • Create and execute account strategy aligned to EMEA Marketplace/Sales strategy.

  • Deliver Growth in net revenue, market share and margin (account net contribution) aligned with Nike EMEA Sales targets. Obsess retail KPI’s.

  • Be There: being present with the account (weekly base) and in the marketplace regularly.

  • Account commercial: Trade Terms, P&L ownership, distribution policy. Focus on mutual profitability.

  • Focus on future seasons (GTM process and sell-in excellence) as well as in-season (monthly/quarterly shipping, In-season business optimisation) 

  • Product & assortment focus: the Sales team will have a strong focus on adopting/building assortments and landing with impact in the marketplace. Strong focus on product segmentation/distinction.

  • Drive marketplace distinction through Retail Elevation.
