WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
You will lead a team of seasoned Product Managers and be responsible for driving the product creation process and triad teams, growing revenue, and setting the long-term strategy for Men’s Sport apparel. You and the team will support the product creation process through key interaction with Technical, Graphic, and Color Design, Merchandising, Sourcing/Costing, Demand Planning, Operations, Sales, and Footwear. You will lead x-categorical projects, plans, and initiatives and foster key relationships between global and geo teams to ensure alignment and integration at key dates and for key deliverables.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
As the Product Director for Global Men’s Sport Apparel, you will be responsible for driving the vision and strategy, and leading the team to deliver all Product Line Management deliverables. You will work closely with a variety of important partners and critical cross-functional teams to align on end-to-end strategies, processes, and tools that best serve the consumer. You'll spend time guiding the team as they create product for the world’s best athletes to continue pushing Jordan apparel into the future. You will ensure our team of Product Managers is driving all areas of the creation process to meet key deliverables each season across a multitude of calendars and timelines.
We're seeking someone with superior business and trend acumen, with a passion for sport and serving athletes. It is critical to be an expert at collaboration and enjoy working among various teams. This person needs to have an astute passion for apparel, effective verbal/written communication skills, great presentation skills, the ability to navigate and thrive in a fast-paced environment, and excellent attention to detail. They will be managing a team of seasoned product managers, and will need to be able to support, guide, and develop the team.

As Director for Men’s Sport apparel, you will be responsible for creating product for a variety of activities under the “Jordan Sport” umbrella (basketball, training, global football, etc.). The product management team will work daily with our design, development, brand, and merchandising teams to create compelling apparel collections seasonally. You will also work closely with Sports Marketing, Men’s Streetwear apparel, and Footwear teams to develop line plans and implement future product apparel strategies. You will be seen as the leader for the business, expected to keep the team on task and communicate regularly to both internal and external partners. You will work closely with x-functional leaders to deliver on product creation calendar timelines, including product briefs, design reviews, external partner reviews and approvals.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in product management and/or merchandising. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training.
- 10+ years of experience in product management and/or merchandising role
- Strong apparel product creation knowledge
- Track record for leading, driving, and executing successful business strategies
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong analytical abilities
- Able to lead and influence a team and enable collaborative working relationships
- Attention to detail and deadlines
- Necessary Skills/Tools: Visual Tool Creation (Powerpoint/Keynote/Miro), Excel Skills, Retail Math, Smartsheets
- Domestic and international travel (limited Int’l) required (±10% of time on the road)
