WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH


You will work within the Global Procurement Supply Chain - Outbound Transportation team, alongside other GEO and category sourcing managers and sourcing analysts based in Nike PHK and in our GEOs.  You will be responsible for leading and fostering strategic relationships with internal stakeholder and external service providers. Your impact on the category and in projects will be global with high focus in Nike’s Global Transportation model.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR


We are looking for an impact-driven Sourcing Manager who will join the team to be a leader for our sourcing events and liase with our stakeholders, while executing the Outbound Transportation strategy, building provider relationships and cost consciousness and operational execution at front of mind!  You will be a primary Sourcing Manager for Global, North America and APLA GEOs and have an extended network of sourcing peers in NIKE’s global key geographies of EMEA and Greater China. This role reports into and will be supported by the Global Director Outbound Transportation, under the Global Procurement Supply Chain Organization.

-  6+ years relevant work experience with a focus on procurement or sourcing of Outbound Transportation services

-  Knowledge of transportation markets and outbound transportation modes: FTL, LTL, Pool Point, Small Parcel, Intermodal and Deconsolidators

- Knowledge of Transportation P&L/ financial acumen and cost structures

-  Knowledge of key financial and procurement topics: analysis, competitive pricing, sourcing strategies, benchmarking, negotiations, contracting

- Experience with should-cost modeling, total cost of ownership and cost savings analytics

-  Experience working cross-culturally on global projects and/or diverse categories

-  Track record of managing business partner and supplier relationships (i.e., carrier, SRM)

-  Project management, communication skills and presentation skills

-  CPM or internationally accredited procurement qualification would be a plus

-  Experience with procurement technology e-sourcing tools (i.e., Jaggaer) would be a plus

-  Bachelor's degree in Business or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training.


WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON


You will work in designing, executing, and leading global sourcing events, with a savings and tangible value focus, with the support of Category Leads for market insights and more in conjunction with our in-GEO and Territory internal stakeholders to prioritize the pipeline of projects and sourcing events for the category. You will jointly identify opportunities and sourcing strategies to collect value across cost, capacity, capabilities, sustainability, and more. The sourcing strategy will be based on overall Nike Corporate, SCPO, Geo Supply Chain, Global Procurement objectives, market dynamics and rigorous TCO analytics.

You will develop sourcing strategies and execute the strategic plans for Outbound Transportation events. You will generate and analyze insights to best fashion cost conscious solutions while retaining or enhancing operational needs and wants. You will work with stakeholders and suppliers to draft, review and redline contracts and implement negotiated agreements. You will be a key partner to Nike operations in delivering on the Athlete’s Promise.
