WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
You will work within Nike’s Planning function and collaborate with cross-functional teams—including Digital Business, Finance, MSC, EBP, and Merchandising—to meet financial targets for both in-season and future seasons. You’ll partner with Sports Directors to drive actions that boost demand and optimize digital inventory. Reporting to the Digital Planning Director, you’ll work closely with analysts, planners, business planners, and allocators to achieve revenue, margin, and inventory goals. Collaboration also extends to the Geo Team located in the USA.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking a dynamic Assortment Planner to join our team! This role is critical in defining, crafting, and executing consumer demand strategies for the Digital Channel. You will be responsible for leading multi-season revenue, receipt, and inventory plans, as well as analyzing key decisions related to pricing, promotions, and inventory movement across Third Party Partners to maximize revenue, margin, and inventory productivity.
We are looking for someone who can create plans, convert them into action, drive innovation, and work in a fast-paced environment, underpinned by a world-class team. The candidate must have a proven track record of analytical skills and business acumen to solve complex issues collaboratively with team members. They will need to regularly work with cross-functional team members to proactively address, resolve, and escalate any business risks or opportunities to maximize revenue, margin, and inventory productivity.
You should possess:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of relevant experience in merchandising planning, retail planning, or demand planning.
• Proven analytical skills and business acumen to solve complex issues collaboratively.
• Strong ability to influence and communicate effectively across teams.
• Advanced Excel skills (complex formulas, pivot tables, macros); familiarity with Cognos BI tool and Tableau is desired.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to work in a deadline-driven, fast-paced, and dynamic environment.
• Competence in understanding retail KPIs and using data analytics to identify commercial drivers.
• High proficiency in English.
• Ability to work across a matrixed and cross-functional environment, leading change and achieving business results through storytelling (written and verbal) to technical and non-technical audiences.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
• Define and lead multi-season Business Plans at the Sport Level to inform financial forecasts and end-to-end inventory forecasts.
• Drive the future by reviewing upcoming seasonal products and building a compelling purchase assortment for the channel, leveraging current results and trends while adding strategic items that fuel continued growth.
• Conduct analysis to determine optimized pricing structures, promotional levers, and inventory movements across channels.
• Identify over- and under-performing styles and develop strategies to optimize performance in the marketplace.
• Make recommendations to manage inventory health and capitalize on key consumer moments, including end-to-end inventory liquidation plans within Digital Channel.
• Communicate results and impacts with cross-functional and leadership teams.
