WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

As a key member of the Pacific Stores Planning team, you will report directly to the Director of Nike Stores Planning and serve two distinct businesses—Nike Value Stores (NVS), and Nike Stores Owned (NSO). You will work with the stores planning team across Location Planning, Assortment Planning and Allocations and will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including the Nike Stores leadership team, Senior Retail Managers (SRM), Finance, Marketplace Supply Chain (MSC), and regional counterparts across Sport Planning & Enterprise Business Planning (EBP).

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We’re seeking a Business Planner who can deliver against our Nike Direct Stores strategy, and drive revenue, margin & Inventory productivity through robust planning and execution. The successful candidate brings strong problem-solving skills, cross-functional leadership, and a sharp ability to influence through insights. We are looking for someone who thrives in ambiguity, thinks boldly, and operates with courage and passion in a diverse and inclusive environment.

  • 5+ years of experience in Planning, Merchandising and Retail/Sales, or closely related fields with bachelor’s degree in business administration or related fields.
  • Comprehensive understanding of retail metrics and planning methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage comprehensive multi-season plans.
  • Ability to adapt and drive profitable decision in a changing inventory supply landscape.
  • Lead with an enterprise mindset and demonstrate strong consumer understanding.
  • Clear communication skills with a focus for storytelling and clarity. 

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

As a Business Planner, you will lead multi-season financial planning by Sport and Marketplace channels (NVS/NSO), ensuring consumer demand is met and end-to-end supply is optimized. You will lead monthly, seasonal, and annual planning across both channels and are responsible for re-forecasting based on trade performance with a focus on managing R&O plans and you will work closely with the Location planner on promotional planning and store performance. Inventory planning is a critical component to the NVS business to ensure targeted liquidation and marketplace inventory health is achieved.

  • Lead the development of the merchandise financial plans to achieve our financial targets at the sport and product engine grain, including retail sales, units, margin, receipts while maintaining aligned KPI metrics.
  • Delivering clear insights on risks and opportunities to the wider business with robust recommendations/action plans.
  • Hand off in seasonal sales plan to Location Planning for alignment and partner with Allocations team to ensure top line strategy implementation.
  • Create future seasons shape of business plans and partner with assortment planning and merchandise teams to align on rebuy investment for NVS and Sport/Product Engine/Gender seasonal OTB for NSO.
  • Manage and create a clear inventory strategy across rebuys (bookings) & close out inventory to ensure optimal liquidation of close out while balancing core business needs. Re-forecast and adapt to complex monthly inventory supply signals and create action plans to drive supply outcomes.  
  • Contribute to key meetings including weekly trade & promotions meetings, monthly re-forecasts and quarterly business reviews and future seasonal planning meetings to ensure strategic direction and execution is achieved.
