The annual base salary for this position ranges from $126,700.00 in our lowest geographic market to $258,400.00 in our highest geographic market. Actual salary will vary based on a candidate's location, qualifications, skills and experience.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for a strategic, technically fluent Solutions Manager to lead the development of data and analytical data sets/products that drive business impact for GPS and the Nike enterprise.  This role will serve as a critical link between data engineering and business stakeholders – translating business needs into technical requirements and ensuring delivery of high-value, scalable data and analytics products.

The candidate needs to have strong communication and stakeholder management skills with a background in data and analytics product management. Candidates should have a solid understanding of data pipelines, data warehousing, and business intelligence front-end applications like Tableau. Candidates should have a basic understanding of AI/ML and should be comfortable navigating technical and business domains as it relates to translating business requirements into actionable insights with data.  Candidate will have a proficiency in SQL and a strong grasp of data modeling and architecture, along with experience working in an agile environment.  Candidates should also be able to learn, potentially clarify/define, capability processes in order to drive data solution needs.

 

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

This role will work with GPS teams on a daily basis, often interacting/collaborating with business partner functions who require GPS data and reporting. This role will be leading the design, development, and maintenance of a global analytics infrastructure that supports data science, analytics and reporting needs for GPS and the Nike enterprise (for GPS data). This role will be responsible for overseeing the translation of business needs into functional code for analysis, reporting solutions as well as operational tools.  In addition, this role will connect with our Nike Tech partners regarding models, architecture and best practices for data solutions

 

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

Reporting to the Sr. Manager of GPS Data Foundations, this role is a member of the GPS Intelligence team within GPS Global Operations.  The role's primary stakeholders will sit in the core functions of GPS, but will also work with teams such as Nike Technology, Resilience, HR and Legal to create and maintain data solutions. GPS data products have enterprise reach, requiring engagement with many Nike functions at times 

 

 

WHAT YOU BRING

Required

 Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and 8 plus years directly relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education, experience or training.

 Experience in product management for data and analytics products

 Strong communication skills and the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements

 Data architecture and data modeling

 Relational database design (normalization/denormalization, conceptual modeling, physical modeling) 

 Comfort with agile, scrum, or hybrid development environments

 Explain technical concepts in simplified ‘business’ language 

 Proficiency in SQL for data exploration and validation

 Familiarity with business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau)

 Front-end application/data visualization development experience

 Designing and implementing data quality tests 

 

 Nice-to-haves 

 Security/role-based access control design 

 CI/CD experience (ideally Jenkins)

 Understanding of master data management

 Familiarity with AI/ML

 Understanding of data engineering, APIs, and integration patterns

 Test-driven development 

 Understanding of master data management 

 Formal analytics, data visualization, or computer science background preferred
