We are looking for an Event Lead EMEA, based at the European Headquarters in Hilversum, the Netherlands, to drive and execute high-impact virtual, hybrid, and in-person event experiences.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
Reporting to the Director, Events EMEA, you will work closely with the EMEA Events team across the geography, as well as with our external strategic event partners at EHQ.
You will collaborate with senior leaders and cross-functional partners to provide thought leadership, manage key business relationships, and deliver distinctive, Nike-only event concepts.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
You will develop and deliver event experiences that bring the brand and sales message to life across the consumer journey. In this role, you will contribute to the Meetings and Events strategy, enabling the business to create greater impact while setting a benchmark for fully on-brand event experiences within the industry.
You have experience across all disciplines of events, spanning both B2B and B2C formats, with a proven track record of driving event innovation grounded in clear strategy.
As the Events Lead, you will provide strategic recommendations to the business and deliver best value across all aspects of meetings and events. You will challenge the status quo to drive innovation and deliver best-in-class, inspirational virtual, hybrid, and in-person event experiences.
What do you bring:
Solid experience in the international event industry
Deep expertise in event technology, innovation, and trends across virtual, hybrid, and live events
Strong end-to-end project management skills, including leading freelancers, agencies, and production teams, across both B2B and B2C environments
Experience planning and delivering multi-day international guest programs and experiences
Well-established network within the international event industry
Process-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and driving improvements
Experience leading strategic partnerships and managing suppliers within a Fortune 500 environment
Ability to adapt under pressure, manage shifting priorities, and remain flexible and results-driven
Strong capability to translate business objectives into effective event solutions
Expert budget management skills with a high level of attention to detail
Strong problem-solving skills, organizational awareness, and ability to influence
Proven ability to manage competing priorities and work cross-functionally with senior leadership
Highly skilled communicator with experience managing relationships across diverse stakeholder groups
Ability to clearly articulate complex business concepts in English
Willingness to travel 20–25%
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
Act as a strategic business partner to internal stakeholders by understanding long-term objectives and proactively shaping mid- to long-term event strategies to support them.
Develop clear event briefs and production designs grounded in business objectives, with a strong focus on the end-to-end consumer journey.
Deliver high-end Nike event experiences in close collaboration with Global and Key City teams.
Lead seamless logistics and technical production through effective partnerships with internal and external service providers.
Build, manage, and lead extended project teams, while maintaining strong, long-term relationships with freelancers.
Develop, oversee, and manage complex event budgets responsibly and transparently.
Design and deliver B2B virtual, hybrid, and live event experiences.
Lead and develop strategic projects that contribute to strengthening the EMEA Events strategy.
Build and nurture long-term internal and external strategic partnerships.
Proactively contribute to shaping the future of the EMEA Events function by co-designing and influencing global direction with local market requirements.
Drive continuous improvement of processes to ensure efficient and effective meeting and event execution.
