The Nike Global Store Operations team works across Nike Direct to deliver the most profitable, productive, and innovative stores in the world. Our Global Store Operations Inventory and Process Optimization team seeks a GlobalService Operations Lead to shape the future of Nike Stores’ consumer-facing, in-store services. In addition, this role will partner with the Director of the Inventory and Process Optimization team to craft the overall strategy for key retail operating processes and capabilities. This role creates value for Consumers and Nike by leveraging a deep understanding of the needs of our Consumers, the needs of our first-line teams, and operational best practices in footwear and apparel retail. 

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR

We seek a candidate that brings a combination of retail knowledge and experience, analytical thinking, strategic leadership abilities, and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate is a creative thinker with the ability to translate high-level objectives into attainable and impactful strategies and the skills to work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure delivery against critical work streams. Success in this role is reliant on the candidate’s ability to assess impacts of capability gaps, develop and articulate a plan, inspire change, and drive delivery across a matrixed organization. 

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON

Nike’s in-store services are the expression of the Nike brand. This role will directly inform the operations of the processes and capabilities that bring these services to life for Nike’s Consumers every day. This role will be primarily responsible for the design, development, and deployment of operational processes and tool kits to power in-store checkout & return experiences, fitting room services, and other distinct Nike services.

You will analyze store performance and assess first-line processes to identify operational improvement opportunities and inform capability decisions.

WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH

This role will partner extensively with teammates across Global and Geo Nike Stores, Digital Product, Consumer Insights & Analytics, and Retail Marketing to shape strategic plans and unlock the pinnacle of Nike’s in-store experiences.

WHAT YOU BRING 

Required:

  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to distill sophisticated ideas into succinct and actionable plans
  • Ability to work with high degree of independence while partnering with a variety of cross functional partners to achieve shared goals
  • Ability to derive impactful insights from quantitative and qualitative analyses 
  • Experience building operational and/or capability strategies 
  • Four-year college degree or at least 5 years of retail experience in lieu of degree
  • Ability to use common corporate technology tools (e.g. Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Slack, Keynote, etc)
  • Experience managing complex programs/projects
  • Genuine passion for the Nike brand and Consumer experiences in retail environments 

Preferred:

  • Footwear and apparel retail experience with understanding of retail store processes, systems, and equipment
  • Experience working with retail technology teams, with deep knowledge of point-of-sale systems
