At the Nike European Logistics Campus in Laakdal near Antwerp (BE), we play an essential role in the athlete’s experience with supply chain as our strength. We serve consumers all over the world, delivering the right products at the right time and place. As a Customs and trade team we inspire our community and boost trade within EMEA so we can cross borders as one in service of our consumer. In this role, you will collaborate with various partners across the ELC campus, our European and global headquarters, and external stakeholders, often engaging with senior-level professionals.

We’re looking for an inspiring servant leader to join our Customs and trade team as Customs Manager. This role will focus on driving innovation and implementing new trade capabilities within the dynamic EMEA trade landscape. - You operate at a master level, thinking strategically and challenging the status quo.
- Minimum of 3 years relevant Supply chain experience ideally in a global matrix environment. Having more years of experience and background in customs and trade are an advantage.
- Proven experience in building and leading (virtual) teams, with a strong focus on team values and development.
- Experience with performance management and proven track record in project and change management.
- You can think conceptually and end to end
- Exceptional communication skills in English and Dutch, with the ability to convey ideas clearly and concisely, both in person and virtually.
- Willingness to travel up to 10-20% annually.
IMPORTANT AND NON-NEGOTIABLE NOTE:
- No relocation package/deal: candidates must currently reside in Belgium to be considered for this position. Applications from outside Belgium will not be accepted.
- Current hybrid working situation: 2 days/week home office, 3 days/week at the office.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
In this role, you will lead a team dedicated to shaping the future of customs and trade. Together, you will be responsible for designing and implementing innovative solutions, including process transformation initiatives and new capabilities. You will create actionable plans with clear timelines, deliverables, and ownership, while driving cross-functional alignment and progress in line with agreed-upon solutions.
Examples of possible projects and responsibilities: transforming our processes and systems in line with legislative changes, implementing and managing the transition to new trade capabilities, developing and executing a broker strategy, partnering with the Trade Technology team to drive prioritization of capabilities across a global roadmap.
To make this happen you will get to work with many cross-functional team members, service providers and stakeholders.

- You are comfortable translating complexity and ambiguity into a simple and compelling story and drive actions based on data and analytical insights
