WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

You will support and collaborate closely with Sr. Buyers for Apparel & Footwear/EQ and cross-functional teams, particularly Planning. Your daily interactions will include store teams, planners, allocators, and third-party vendors to ensure seamless execution of product, pricing, and inventory initiatives. You will directly support the Sr. Buyers and report to the Merchandising Director, Canada, and engage with finance and business reporting teams to leverage quantitative and qualitative metrics on sales, inventory, and consumer behaviors. Teamwork and relationship-building are central to this role, as you will help drive the Canadian product line plan and seasonal strategies across the NVS merchandising business.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking a detail-oriented, collaborative professional with a strong understanding of retail profit-based metrics, including sell-through, turn, ASP, and UPT. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proven ability to troubleshoot and optimize business systems and processes, possess excellent communication skills, and thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. Curiosity, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement are essential.

  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising or Buying, Fashion Business & Tech, or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel
  • Knowledge of SAP and Coupa systems
  • Experience in procurement, product line planning, or merchandising

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

In this role, you will enable the strategizing, building, and management of the seasonal Canadian product line plan for the NVS Business, working cross-functionally and directly supporting the Sr. Buyers. A consistent part of your day-to-day responsibilities will be the detailed management, maintenance, and communication of all seasonal tools and assortments. Success in this position will be driven by your ability to develop key relationships across teams, your comfort with research and analysis, and your genuine curiosity and commitment to learn and evolve.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the onboarding and execution of seasonal plans, including product setup, pricing, and concept initiatives, with a strong understanding of business and marketplace dynamics.
  • Maintaining style creation and pricing lists in partnership with Sr. Buyers and stores, utilizing the Generator tool for new item creation and pricing updates.
  • Executing monthly closeout activities to facilitate marketplace liquidation and achieve financial objectives, including style creation and markdown pricing for large volumes of SKUs.
  • Managing bulk and ad hoc pricing tasks using Generator and RPRO, responding to store feedback and maintenance needs.
  • Collaborating with planning teams to support classification strategies, segmentation, and new store openings as required.
  • Assisting Sr. Buyers with product pricing, promotional activities, and alignment across MPU partners.
  • Contributing to in-season management, including open-to-buy, business reviews, and take rate analysis, and providing recommendations for rebuy processes.
  • Coordinating and maintaining whiteboards and seasonal toolkits, ensuring style codes and pricing are up to date, developing Excel-based resources and newsletters to support allocations and store capacity planning.
  • Updating weekly promotional calendars and incorporating data to inform decision-making.
  • Demonstrating proficiency in SAP, MMX, Krunch, Retail Pro, and Generator systems; troubleshooting as needed.
  • Partnering with third-party vendors and stores to manage defective products and oversee Coupa invoicing, addressing backlog issues and coordinating PO approval processes.
  • Adapting to increased SKU management and inventory ownership resulting from high-volume inventory events, including reworking assortments, rebuy cancellations, and closeout processes in partnership with the allocation team.
