Based in Beaverton, OR, as the Senior Business Director, White Space, Global Jordan you will be a part of the Global Jordan Energy team. This team is responsible for taking risks that drive relevance for all Jordan Sports, while exploring new spaces to incubate meaningful, net-new growth opportunities.

In this leadership role you will develop the strategy to grow and maintain Jordan’s presence in the zeitgeist and ensure that we are always at the center of the intersection of court, culture and community. This will include the ways we set the vision, inspire the team, create the strategy, run the process and drive the business.
What will you work on?
Covering White Spaces, the scope of your day-to-day work will focus on White Spaces, and therefore you will be expected to obsess the strategic and seasonal work in only the White Spaces segment of the Jordan Energy Offense. Alongside a small, cross-functional group of teammates, your work will help us achieve our objective of taking risks that drive relevance for Jordan Brand in new spaces & communities. You must be consistently collaborative and open to the opinions and expertise of those you engage with.
In this role your core duties will include:
- Identify and declare consumer led concepts that solve problems consumers care about
- Lead a cross-functional team inclusive of Geo’s to create the plan
- Align global, sport and geo teams against the strategy and concepts
- Be an energy giver by leading the right way
- Consistently communicate the clear global vision and strategy to achieve Brand objectives
- Provide platforms for teams to do their best work, including weekly staff meetings, business meetings and bi-annual team offsites
- Establish and track clear seasonal objectives, aligned to vision and strategy
- Partner with Sport (Category) and Geography leaders on key insights and learnings
- Hold yourself and others accountable to execute the best plan possible
- Be a leader for the Brand, internally and externally, every day
Who will you work with?
You will be part of General Management function, reporting directly to the VP/GM, Energy, Global Jordan. In this role you will work with the Energy and Global, Geo and City teams in Beaverton, Los Angeles, New York, Paris, London, Hilversum, Tokyo, and Shanghai always with a growth mindset to contribute towards a World-class team.
You will work cross functionally at the Philip H. Knight Campus, in the Michael Jordan office, with functional partners across Product Management, Merchandising, Design, Marketing, Marketplace and more, aligning on roles & responsibilities, to bring your Vision, Strategy and Seasonal Plans plans to life.
What you bring to Jordan?
A successful candidate will be expected to clearly demonstrate and articulate experience of the below essential requirements in order to be considered. Candidates that meet these criteria will then be assessed based on the competencies also outlined below.
Essential Requirements: Deep passion and knowledge of fashion, design and culture and the Jordan brand
- Strong inter-personal, communication and organizational skills required
- Bachelor Degree in Marketing or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training
- Ability to work collaboratively and influence cross-functional teams
- Strong knowledge of industry-leading Product, Marketing & Marketplace executions most-relevant to our Jordan Energy Consumer Muses
- Strong knowledge of the collaboration and special project landscape across Industries
- Proven experience of leading cross-functional teams to execute an aligned vision
- Ability to assist in the management of relationships with external partners
- Ability to proactively identity issues, and present actionable solutions
- Proven experience managing budget, contracts and expenses
- Existing connections in Art, Design, Fashion and beyond
