WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for someone who can drive an emotional connection to materials and color for the EMEA consumer through the use of narrative and storytelling — bringing to life close to market trend-relevant, seasonal creative direction by being a colour & materials specialist at the product and collection level. 

You will use materials, color, trims and hardware to deliver an elevated consumer relevant brand point of view in the marketplace through strategic vision, design direction, storytelling and editing. In addition, you will collaborate and build in a fast-paced closer to market environment and make informed design and application decisions with efficiency and agility, while keeping costing targets in mind.

Your focus is to bring to life the seasonal product direction that is trend-relevant EMEA consumer at speed.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

  • Drives a high degree of color and material innovation & excellence
  • Obsesses Color & Materials technology and application
  • Crafts a consumer and brand-right narrative through color & materials based on close to market trends and opportunities
  • Uses sophisticated skills to create product expressions that align with global creative direction, seasonal key concepts, gender strategies, franchise journeys, geo assortments and connect with the EMEA consumer
  • Masters excellent trend mining skills: Strong connection to consumer and city trends focused on EMEA
  • Obsess storytelling and share the “why” behind the work
  • Ability to adapt to change and adjust quickly based on marketplace shifts, market trend and business opportunities
  • Partners with cross-functional teams throughout product creation process to deliver against closer-to-market dates & gates (FW Dev, Mat Dev, PLMs)
  • Collaborates with Product Line Managers, Designers, and Development to achieve desired product detailing
  • Plans and executes product details and reviews all samples, troubleshoots achievability issues, and clearly communicates changes to ensure timely completion of each project
  • In depth knowledge of Nike DNA, history of notable footwear models and their iconic color blocking

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

In this role you will report to the EMEA Design Director FTW. You will work closely with other EMEA colour/ material/ graphic designers across footwear and apparel, and cross functional collaboration with our PLM’s and Developers within the team. 

You will also connect with Geo GEL designers (APLA,GC,NA), Global Materials, Color and Graphic Designers.

WHAT YOU BRING

Education:

BA/BFA/MA/MFA preferred in a design background (i.e. graphic design, fashion design, industrial design, apparel design, material design, textile design or a related field.)

Experience: 

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar field
  • Delivers results in a fast-paced environment
  • Creates the future / visionary
  • In-depth knowledge of the EMEA consumer/ track record of designing for EMEA consumer
  • Able to bring stories to life on product which will resonate with our EMEA consumer
  • Makes good decisions / thinks strategically
  • Leads & influences others
  • High-level communicator and presenter
  • Contributes special expertise in both Color and Materials
  • Leads collaboration with cross-functional partners

En el caso de los puestos de Retail, tendrás que realizar una evaluación interactiva que incluye una conversación y cuestionarios. Te tomará entre 10 y 20 minutos completarla. Independientemente del puesto, queremos conocerte a ti, a tu yo en su totalidad, así que comparte quién eres, qué te hace singular y qué deseas hacer.

03 Entrevista
