WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

This role will report to the Store Development Director of APLA. You will be working closely with Global and GEO teams made up of x-functional partners from Business Strategy, Retail Design, Loss Prevention, IT/tech, Store Ops, Facilities, Marketing, Merchandising and Store Opening teams, and act as the subject matter expert on construction.

This role acts as the primary conduit between Global and Territory teams, translating strategic direction into scalable execution across all territories.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The Senior Construction Manager for Asia Pacific and Latin America (APLA) is responsible for leading the execution of Nike’s new store builds and remodels across multiple territories, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training
  • 7+ years of experience in corporate retail construction or store development, with multi-market oversight.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects across diverse geographies and cultural contexts.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, vendor management, and cost control.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Great interpersonal skills and team first attitude across everything they do.
  • Ability to travel as needed to support project execution and team development.
  • A strong sense of personal accountability, a bias for action, and ability to work autonomously.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

Key responsibilities include overseeing a portfolio of ~100 projects annually, managing vendor relationships and contracts, driving cost analysis and reporting, and coordinating the rollout of new concepts and pilots. The Senior Construction Manager is predominantly responsible for the Program Management of both the Construction and Facilities functions while also leading cross-functional alignment, supporting sustainability initiatives, and managing a team of specialists to ensure consistent delivery across all our diverse markets.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end construction delivery for multiple territories, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
  • Coordinate with territory and global teams to align on design intent, construction timelines, and rollout strategies.
  • Oversee vendor performance, contract execution, and cost control across a portfolio of projects.
  • Lead the implementation of new store concepts and pilot formats, including prototyping, roll out and ensuring scalability and regional adaptability.
  • Monitor and report on project milestones, risks, and financials to regional leadership.
  • Seeing opportunities for process improvement (including risk management / safety) and recommends solutions
  • Supports Territory teams in the structuring and execution of construction management strategies, standards and provide mentorship, fostering collaboration. Serve as advisor to cross-functional partners (inclusive of Geo), with expertise in retail construction & regional/global differences and foster continuous improvement.
  • Design process and preconstruction management – work closely with internal Nike design team, internal partners, and external consultants to establish required results, and process improvement while tracking resolution of outstanding issues
  • Work with Design Development team, bringing scalable x-functional work to deliver and implement across APLA.
  • Contract management and documentation – assist teams in the contract scope development, review, award, and contract management with a focus on National or global vendor agreements which improve on vendor service potential
  • Develop and maintain relationships with third-party vendors as required
  • Program management - Manage and oversee entire project portfolio schedules and calendars, lead and influence x-functional partners in support of project and program goals.
  • End to End approach from Design to Closure. Manage the Store Facilities and New Stores team in APLA in support of the Territories.
  • Fixtures program - manage, oversee and implement all fixture design, engineering, and rollout of systems

In addition, this role will be responsible for managing our Facilities and New Stores team members which ensures that all physical retail environments operate efficiently, safely, and in alignment with brand standards. This includes overseeing maintenance and repair programs, managing vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and optimizing energy and utility usage. Facilities managers also coordinate store readiness for seasonal campaigns, support sustainability initiatives, and respond to urgent operational issues to minimize downtime and enhance the customer experience.
