WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

In this role, the Specialist, Go To Market Pacific will report to the Partner Go To Market (PGTM) Director and be a part of the larger Nike Pacific Marketplace Sales team. This role will work closely with several cross functional teams within Nike such as Merchandising, Marketing, Finance, and the regional PGTM Operations team to ensure smooth business continuity. This role will be based in Melbourne.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Nike Sales (Pacific) is hiring for a Specialist, Go To Market Pacific, based in Melbourne. The Specialist, Go To Market Pacific will work as part of the Nike Pacific team to support and drive Go-To-Market (GTM) excellence with retail partners and the Pacific Sales team. You will manage the end-to-end Samples product lifecycle including ordering Samples, aligned with Nike’s seasonal marketplace assortment, and overseeing delivery and processing of samples to ensure effective sales meetings with retail partners.

  • 3-5 years' overall business experience that retail sales, retail operations, sales business analysis.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in sales is highly preferred, strong working knowledge of sports, the athletics industry & trends in the marketplace. Understanding of team sales, merchandising sales, sports trends and sports culture will be an added advantage.
  • Proven leadership and teamwork ability toward developing and maintaining high profile, influential and collaborative relationships across teams, functions and organizational layers.
  • Ability to closely collaborate with Asia Pacific and Latin America PGTM operations team to submit seasonal samples orders and contribute to a feedback loop to consistently improve the accuracy and timeliness of seasonal samples.
  • Ability to oversee timely execution of sample order tracking and coverage analysis, samples reception and inventory management across futures selling timelines and in-season sample requests.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

As the Specialist, Go To Market Pacific, you will oversee Nike Pacific’s Sample strategy and operations, an essential deliverable which contributes to growth and profitability in line with Nike’s overall strategy. You will achieve this by working with cross-functional stakeholders across the Go-To-Market timeline and managing the in-season execution of samples, showroom setup for elevated partner engagement moments while also identifying ways to consistently improve this process, season on season. 

  • You will optimize Nike Sales Samples process by delivering accurate sample coverage aligned to seasonal marketplace assortments, cross referenced against brand concept maps and merchandising key looks.
  • Ensure timely submission of Seasonal Samples orders as well as coordination of order tracking and delivery timelines.
  • The role will coordinate with logistics providers to organise delivery timelines of in-bound samples.
  • Process samples into inventory system, aligned to Nike’s Sport and Marketplace offense and how samples will be displayed in the showroom.
  • Partner with Nike Pacific PGTM team to coordinate delivery of samples to Showroom and coordinate Sample setup in consultation with relevant account teams.
  • Display strong customer service skills by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders across local organisation and with regional counterparts.
