WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
You will be part of EMEA Labor Optimization Team (part of the wider Retail operations function). This is a unique and exciting spot in the organization on the crossroads of multiple functions and processes. We are seeking a Specialist to support the EMEA Workforce Optimization team in delivering exceptional support to our stores. Our team’s mission is to provide a comprehensive labor plan and schedule that enables our stores to operate efficiently and deliver world-class service through consistent execution of processes, practices, and tools.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The EMEA Workforce Optimization Specialist will be instrumental in supporting the EMEA Nike Direct stores in 21 countries. Your primary responsibility will be to assist these stores in understanding and utilizing the WFM scheduling system effectively. You will serve as a primary point of contact for stores seeking system support and scheduling guidance.
To excel in this role, you must possess strong written and verbal communication skills in English (with additional language proficiency being a significant advantage). Experience in schedule creation, a comprehensive understanding of retail demand, and the ability to identify and address the labor challenges faced by stores are essential. Additionally, you should possess analytical skills, the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, problem-solving abilities, strong influencing skills, a positive attitude, and the capacity to follow up on tasks with tight deadlines. Open feedback and collaboration within a team environment are highly valued.
Qualifications:
- Experience in scheduling and project management roles
- Comprehensive understanding of retail store systems, equipment point-of-sale, inventory management, handheld terminals, and labour scheduling applications
- Experience with Workforce Management systems (e.g., Kronos, Red Prairie) is highly recommended
- Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a diverse team environment
- Ability to network, influence, and utilize internal and external resources
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) is preferred
- Ability to travel approximately 5% of the time
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
In this role, you will lead the administration of the workforce management system to ensure that stores schedule the most suitable individuals for the most appropriate roles and times. Some of your key responsibilities include:
- Managing the configuration of the WFM system to achieve Labour Optimization objectives.
- Ensure the WFM system operates in accordance with its design while actively identifying opportunities to enhance performance and schedule outputs.
Perform system configuration changes for redistricting, forecasting, and scheduling modifications as necessary. - Communicate with Global Store Operations partners and vendors to gain insights into the product development roadmap and assess potential enhancement opportunities.
- Assume the role of a representative of the field in troubleshooting and escalating payroll and scheduling issues within stores.
- Generate WFM system reports to facilitate compliance with expected timekeeping, forecasting, and scheduling processes.
- Provide functional expertise in store scheduling and payroll management processes, tools, and systems.
- Participate in projects aimed at improving Labour Optimization programs.
- Interact with stakeholders within the Workforce Optimization team, including field leaders such as store managers and other key functions such as the product team and global operations team.
