The Brand Initiatives team sits at the helm of the Brand Marketing team, working very closely with the Chief Marketing Officer as well as Leaders across the rest of the organization. The team is responsible for the definition of the brand (consumer, mission, vision, positioning…) and how it comes to life through its Brand Voice and Seasonal Stories, and pilot Brand Impact moments driving halo across the Brand.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for an Expert who will be responsible for driving Brand Impact moments, as well as playing a consulting role in ensuring our Brand Voice is embedded into each Field of Play and Geo-led seasonal story, be it a product launch, a sports moment reactive, a marketplace activation and everything in between.

The team is lean and will require for the candidate to be a self starter who isn’t afraid of working both up and downstream in a fast paced environment and navigating ambiguity. They will have to be comfortable collaborating with Fields of Play (Streetwear, Sports and Energy), Geographies, Brand Functions, as well as Enterprise Functions to ensure consistency across the board when launching seasonal stories. They will also have to be familiar working with different agency partners helping bring our stories to life.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

You will define the strategy and execution for how we evolve and dimensionalize our Brand Voice. You will be on the forefront of identifying the shifts happening in basketball and in culture - and then partnering with functional experts and brand leaders to shape how Jordan can deliver against our creative challenge of unlocking Greatness for communities across the World.

You will lead the development of Brand Impact global integrated campaigns:

  • Lead the integration of Consumer Insights into the brief

  • Writing the integrated campaign brief, leveling our ambition and intent, making it relevant to all Functions.

  • Collaborate with the Business, Design, Comms, Sports Marketing, Brand and Creative Teams to craft and develop Global Marketing Concepts and Plans around our most important brand moments, partners, and assets.

  • Co-lead Geo sell in and adoption with Global Brand Planning.

  • End-to-End, Day to Day process for partnering across Geography counterparts to align on a Worldwide integrated marketing plan

  • Drive strategy and plan into Seasonal Leadership Launch

  • Lead internal checkpoints and reviews with our Leadership, alongside the Operations team

  • Manage the campaign’s budget

  • Set and follow up on the campaign’s effectiveness with clear and consistent KPIs, in partnership with Digital, Business and Insights Functions

  • Drive the creation of recaps port campaigns, inclusive of learnings

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You will report into the Senior Director, Brand Initiatives, and work closely with the Principal, Brand Initiatives.

You will also have to regularly engage with our xFunctional teammates across Brand Creative (Narrative and Design), Brand Planning, Operations, Brand’s Fields of Play (Streetwear, Energy and Sports), Digital Marketing (on & off platforms, socials, integrated media, membership and digital), Marketplace, Sports and Entertainment Marketing, Comms and Purpose Comms, Business, Design, Product and Merchandising as well as our Geography and City-based teams. You will also have to work with 3rd party agency partners and help manage our agencies portfolio.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, experience

    or training with a minimum of 8 years directly relevant work experience

  • 10 years international experience agency and/ or brand side

  • Proven track record of delivering global integrated campaigns across all channels, including earned, paid and owned, digital and physical touchpoints

  • Proven track record of delivering IRL event experiences for different types of audiences with content to scale the moment through robust storytelling

  • Ability to work with agency partners, creating flawless relationships, maintaining clarity through briefs, managing expectations best in class project management

  • Deep understanding of the Jordan culture, basketball, sneaker and street culture, entertainment

  • Understanding and passion for diversity and inclusion, with a focus on black culture

  • Entrepreneurialism, self-starter, strategic visioning, being able to appreciate the big picture

  • Self-starter, ability to lead, drive, finish and follow through

  • Patience, curiosity, able to deal with ambiguity

  • Expert storytelling

  • Consumer/ member obsessed/ expertise in consumer insights

  • Product knowledge + passion across streetwear and sports
