WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We’re seeking an Expert Concept Designer for Energy White Space. Our north star at White-Space is to create the right products/projects to excite the next generation of top designers and athletes to come work with us. As an Expert Concept Designer, you will help to create the Vision of where Nike should go in terms of Product Design and Experiences, White Space goes beyond product. Creating concepts for collaborative and non-collaborative projects and drive edge and innovation for Nike design. You need an incredibly high taste level and are fluent in many ways of working with high caliber partners, co-creating and building trust with them. You’re a curious observer, an eager participant, and a cultural sponge, constantly seeking insights to solve problems in unexpected ways. With a visionary eye for design and a fearless approach to innovation. You create work that disrupts, excites, and challenges the overall status quo. You think differently. You thrive in collaboration, seamlessly translating between our world and external partners to deliver something entirely new, performance wise and aesthetically.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
You’ll be trail blazing the future of Nike Design. Implementing our next technological breakthroughs with cultural relevancy. Working closely with the Director of White-Space, with external collaborators and internal teams, you’ll imagine never seen before projects that will ignite future major opportunities to keep Nike position far ahead within this industry and culture. Basically, future-proofing Nike Design with the most cutting-edge propositions. You will also work on presentation decks for internal sharing and building worlds for important internal Nike moments. The work is highly demanding but extremely rewarding.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
You’ll collaborate with some of the most creative and innovative minds, external partners, internal designers, developers, product managers, and engineers. Bringing fresh ideas to life from brief to market. You lead conversations that push boundaries. As a key voice in the creative process, you’ll inspire both teams and communities, championing innovation at every step. You will report to the Energy White Space director.
WHAT YOU BRING
Bachelor's degree in Design or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and training.
8+ years of experience in Design field, Concept Design knowledge is a plus.
Knowledge of form, color, materials, human factors, related to elevating the consumer experience.
A footwear design-focused portfolio and experience in technical footwear design
Ability to translate consumer knowledge and insights into product solutions and narratives
Strong Photoshop and Illustrator skills
AI and 3D design programs experience is a plus
Sketching, illustration skills is a plus
Great skills with presentation programs: Keynote, PowerPoint, etc.
Positive personality and energy
Contribute and align to shared team culture and behaviors.
Catalyst to make connections with other Design groups.
Lead and drive cross functional partnerships beyond the Design function (Sports Marketing, Marketing, Product, etc.)
Motivated and curious.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%.
