WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

As an Expert Designer in WOMEN’S SPORTSWEAR, you will be working hand-in-hand with a large project team of different professionals (engineers, researchers, scientists, marketing, testing, sustainability, materials, costing, etc.), collaborating within the design community (product designers, materials, color, graphics, computational, etc.), and mentoring other designers. You will work under the direction of our Senior Design Director, as well as other functional leaders, to ensure alignment across all sectors.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

As our Expert Footwear Designer in Nike WOMEN’S SPORTSWEAR, you will build industry-leading innovative footwear designs from concept to reality. We value strong, style forward insights and passion for our consumers in providing them with breathtaking iconic designs to serve their full range of style choices.

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, a related field or equivalent combination of education, experience or training
  • 8 plus years’ experience designing and developing innovative footwear and other products
  • Positive personality and energy
  • Experience in footwear design
  • Ability to translate consumer knowledge and insights into product solutions and narratives
  • Knowledge of form, color, materials, human factors, related to elevating the consumer experience

  • Strong Photoshop, Illustrator skills
  • Must be able to build accurate 2D technical drawings (tech packs)
  • Cobbling and prototyping skills are a plus
  • 3D design programs experience is a plus
  • Strong sketching, illustration, and rendering skills
  • Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials
  • Knowledge and experience with sustainable design and manufacturing are a plus
  • Experienced with presentation programs: Keynote, PowerPoint, Acrobat, etc.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

In WOMEN’S NSW you will be creating the covetable. You will explore new opportunities, take risks, and write the future! In your day to day, you will engage with project teammates to identify market opportunities, consumer insights and future trends to serve the style needs of our consumer. These consumer needs will range from edge to commercial and from high to low price. With each project, you are encouraged to also participate and present the work in formal and informal reviews. In addition to individual project work, an Expert Designer will also collaborate on enterprise level initiatives. As a top-tier designer with deep knowledge and experience in footwear, you will be seen as a leader within the team helping to mentor and grow teammates around you.
