Flyknit Programmer - NIKE, Inc. - Beaverton, OR. Develop programming skills within the product creation process including project briefs and tech pack build creation, best practices, and development process; assist in the creation of original product, programs, or refreshes existing products; utilize specialized knowledge and applies them to the product creation process for timelines, gates, deadline, and key meetings; assist in the preparation of materials for communication and presentation of FlyKnit concepts to internal and external audiences; build and collaborate interpersonal connections with dimension teams and adjacent functions; create and develop Flyknit upper parts and technologies for a variety of Nike categories; create unique innovations with Flyknit uppers for various footwear styles; design and embed innovations such as compression, breathability, grip, stretch-ability, and lock down; and create Nike specific footwear upper with different structures, functions using special yarns and design engineered upper for better performance with targeted areas of support, stretch and breathability. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the U.S., except from AK, AL, AR, DE, HI, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, MT, ND, NE, NH, NM, NV, OH, OK, RI, SD, VT, WV, and WY.
Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Fashion Industry Studies or Fashion Design and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a programmer-related occupation.
Experience must include:
• Computerized knitting machine setups and adjustments
• Troubleshooting of computerized knitting machines
• Knit CAD software such as Stoll M1, Create+, or Shima SDS
• Knit to shape
• 3D knit
• Product creation process
• Crafting and developing new knit structures
• Executing knit design intent
• Handling various yarn types.
