As part of the Converse Value Planning team, you'll unleash the power of data and consumer insights to forecast and drive demand. You’ll work closely with the Integrated Planning Team, Value Channel GM, Finance, Operations, and Merchandising to inform strategy and business decisions.

In this role, you will report to the Director of GC Marketplace Planning and collaborate extensively with cross functional stakeholders to drive and optimize the current business.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for a Value Store Planner / Allocator to join us in Converse Greater China. This position is dedicated to driving optimized sales, profits and inventory targets for our direct stores. The candidate is tasked to distribute inventories, strategize and allocate to door tier segmentation against our products, and then driving these thru with effective pricing strategies and promotion mechanisms.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of planning & analysis using retail KPIs with the ability to synthesize business performance into key highlights & action plans. The ideal candidate will be passionate about evolving the business forward, expanding & building cross-functional partnerships, and thrive in a dynamic & fast-paced environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training.
  • 3-5 years in business planning or merchandise planning and allocation
  • Expert Retail Math skills including intricacies of open to buy and margin management
  • Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects at once
  • Self-starter with the skills to manage through ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate and influence across diverse audiences

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

If this is you, you’ll be working to elevate the forecasting process and lead the daily business management to increase profitability within the financial & inventory targets. The candidate is also responsible for allocation of inventories into our stores, and will also be involved directly or indirectly in pricing decisions – and translating these insights forward, into future buy strategies, and future impact to execution.

  • Optimize inventory planning to maximize revenue, margin and unit targets. This involves weekly allocation of products into Stores – Buys, Seasonal, Aged, Hash etc. Manage closeout products by store inventory level Open to Ship calculation and trading off among seasonal change factor, presentation, category mix, gender mix, MD mix, etc. Manage new products load-in and appropriate depth planning.
  • The candidate is expected to manage demand and supply plans at store level, and also synthesize this information at a higher level, for broader group sharing.
  • Develop and expand integrated forecasting process & tools by merchandise product category.
  • Analyze and identify risks and opportunities to adapt to the current business for pricing actions, promotion mechanisms, and driving indirect or direct impact to future assortments, buy placements and executional strategies
  • Lead, prepare, and present current business in comparison to trend, plan, and forecast for weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviews. Able to be versatile in reviewing product mix, portfolio management and impact to adjustments, risk/opportunities
  • Actively engage with team members to identify opportunities and efficiencies within the business
  • Drive cross-channel collaboration within the integrated marketplace to enhance profitability through shared inventory strategies
