WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

The Lead Product Footwear Developer collaborates closely with Design, Technical Design, Product Management, Engineering, Materials Development, Color, Quality, and factory partners to bring innovative footwear concepts to life. This role serves as a key technical leader across the product creation process, building strong cross-functional partnerships, influencing decision-making, and helping ensure products meet the highest standards of craftsmanship, quality, and consumer relevance.

Key Qualifications
  • Extensive experience in footwear development across the product creation process, from concept through production.
  • Deep knowledge of upper and bottom construction, lasts, patterns, molds, materials, costing, manufacturing, and quality standards.
  • Experience working with Italian footwear factories and methods of make.
  • Proven ability to serve as a technical resource, mentor teammates, and positively influence cross-functional partners.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Illustrator, and familiarity with CAD pattern design software.
     

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

You will lead the development of innovative Women’s Sportswear footwear products, partnering across functions to transform design concepts into commercially viable products that meet performance, quality, and timeline expectations. You will help drive technical excellence throughout the product creation process while delivering solutions that elevate the consumer experience.
  • Lead assigned footwear styles through all stages of the product creation process, from concept to production.
  • Provide technical recommendations that balance design intent, manufacturing feasibility, cost, quality, and performance requirements.
  • Review prototypes and samples, identifying opportunities to improve craftsmanship, construction, fit, and manufacturability.
  • Anticipate potential quality or manufacturing risks and influence partners to implement solutions before prototype creation.
  • Track development milestones, manage calendars, and ensure deadlines and key gates are met.
  • Mentor Product Footwear Developers and serve as a trusted technical resource for cross-functional partners.
  • Collaborate with factory partners and internal teams to implement product innovations that elevate product quality, consumer value, and brand impact.

The annual base salary for this position generally ranges from €59.100,00 to €91.600,000. Actual compensation will vary based on a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and experience.
