WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
The NVS business planning team plays a critical role in translating seasonal/fiscal strategy into clear, executable plans for Nike Value Stores, balancing commercial ambition with operational reality. With strong analytical rigor, collaborative culture, and ability to turn complexity into clarity, the team drives informed decisions and guide teams in shaping the NVS business, from in-season to defining its long-term strategy.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for bold, high‑impact planners who bring clarity to ambiguity and confidence to complexity. You are someone who thrives in dynamic environments, distills complex signals into actionable plans, and influences decisions through clear narratives and strong cross‑functional partnerships. You combine analytical rigor with commercial intuition, operate with an entrepreneurial mindset, and elevate planning processes to drive smarter, faster, and more connected decisions. You are comfortable operating with incomplete information, adjusting course as needed, and providing clear guidance even as priorities shift.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with proficiency in Excel, Tableau/Power BI, and planning systems (e.g., SSP, O9).
Ability to translate retail KPIs, supply signals, and inventory insights into actionable, forward‑looking business plans that drive revenue, margin, and profitability.
Experience with forecasting, scenario planning, and data‑driven methodologies to identify risks, opportunities, and strategic options.
Deep understanding of end‑to‑end retail operations and the Nike Direct go‑to‑market process, with awareness of upstream and downstream impacts.
Proven ability to drive cross‑functional alignment across Planning, Merchandising, Finance, Supply Chain, and Marketplace teams.
Skilled communicator who simplifies complex data into clear narratives, presents confidently in leadership forums, and influences decisions through strong stakeholder relationships.
Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on enhancing planning processes, tools, and operational rigor.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
You help shape the 6‑season rolling business plan, translating strategy and marketplace reality into actionable direction across sales, margin and inventory. Success in this role means teams are aligned around a single, integrated plan, tradeoffs are explicit, and leadership decisions are faster, clearer, and grounded in shared understanding. In practice, that means you will:
Contribute to the monthly planning cycle by translating strategy and marketplace signals into clear inputs and recommendations, partnering with teammates to shape the integrated plan.
Drive alignment and decision‑making for key seasonal moments (including CODE), ensuring teams are coordinated, informed, and ready to act.
Create clarity across functions by connecting insights, surfacing trade‑offs, and aligning teams around a single, integrated plan.
Influence decisions that shape inventory health, financial outcomes and marketplace performance.
Analyze business performance to identify risks, opportunities, and improvement actions that strengthen results.
Communicate plans and insights across cross‑functional forums, enabling faster, more informed decision‑making.
Collaborate closely with NVS and the broader planning community to strengthen processes, share insights, and maximize the Nike Direct business.
