WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
Nike operates in a highly collaborative environment. This role sits within a team of HR professionals and business stakeholders and reports to the People Solutions Director for the region. The role partners closely with people managers across 12 countries in the Central League, supporting both corporate and store-based teams.
The successful candidate collaborates with the EMEA Headquarters People Solutions organization and Centers of Expertise to implement programs, represent local requirements, and leverage specialist knowledge. In addition, the role connects with People Solutions Consulting peers across regions to exchange insights, share best practices, and drive continuous improvement. Strong stakeholder management across retail and corporate teams is essential to ensure teammate needs and business priorities are understood and effectively represented.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Nike is looking for an experienced, solutions-oriented HR professional to support teammates across the Central League from the Berlin office.
This role plays a critical role in shaping the end-to-end teammate experience across the region. The successful candidate delivers expertise across a broad range of HR topics and provides consistent, high-quality support to retail and corporate teams in close partnership with business leaders, HR teams, and EMEA Headquarters.
The ideal candidate approaches challenges with curiosity, accountability, and a continuous improvement mindset, translating business needs into scalable, practical solutions. They build trust-based relationships and use strong HR expertise to enhance the teammate experience while identifying opportunities to simplify processes, improve outcomes, and drive innovation.
- Proven HR generalist experience in one or more HR disciplines, particularly employee relations, workplace investigations, or employment law advisory support
- Experience delivering training and contributing to HR or employee relations projects
- Demonstrated experience managing high-volume HR casework
- Experience in a dynamic retail environment is an advantage
- Strong understanding of HR processes, policies, and practices, with the ability to apply them effectively
- Knowledge of local regulatory requirements and key employment law principles
- Experience using technology to improve, streamline, and automate activities; knowledge of ServiceNow and Workday is an advantage
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to prioritize effectively while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Proven ability to build cross-functional relationships and collaborate effectively
- Consistently balances speed, accuracy, and quality
- Demonstrates a strong teammate-focused mindset across a diverse business environment
- Demonstrates project management discipline and the ability to coordinate with specialists and functional experts to deliver effective solutions
- Fluent in German and English
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
You will play a key role within the Nike Berlin team while building strong partnerships across global and EMEA teams. You will join an organization grounded in a people-first culture and contribute to an ongoing HR transformation as Nike evolves its operating model to drive greater impact at scale.
On a day-to-day basis, you will resolve a broad range of HR matters in partnership with business stakeholders and Nike HR teams. You will provide consultative support and coaching across employee relations, compensation and benefits, performance management, learning, inclusion, and employment law topics.
- Use ServiceNow and Workday to manage cases effectively and generate insights that support informed decision-making.
- Deliver integrated People Solutions across the Nike business and provide support for complex HR matters.
- Guide teammates through complex situations, deliver training, manage policies, support PSC Leads and HR Business Partners through HR cycles, and contribute to local programs as needed.
- Support HR Specialized Services delivery by resolving moderately complex inquiries and transactions and escalating issues when appropriate.
- Guide and coach teammates and people managers on key moments that matter, including talent discussions, organizational guidance, employee relations insights, and compensation-related topics.
- Coordinate across teams to ensure services are delivered consistently and effectively.
- Provide timely and accurate support related to employee programs, services, policies, processes, and procedures within established service level agreements.
- Utilize knowledge management and case management systems to address, track, and resolve teammate inquiries.
- Provide employee data reports that support process improvement, operational efficiency, and best-practice implementation.
- Conduct responsibilities in line with People Solutions Consultant roles and responsibilities.
- Coordinate disciplinary and grievance procedures in line with German labor law requirements.
- Support leader readiness and provide on-the-ground support during inspections and audits.
- Contribute to consulting projects and squads by supporting scope definition, objectives, and deliverable execution.
- Prepare statutory reports.
