The Visual Merchandising (VM) function is responsible for developing and implementing inspiring, premium and elevated consumer experiences and product presentations for the Nike brand. The VM team works collaboratively across brand and business partners to develop product journeys, presentation strategies, seasonal direction and playbooks that set the standard and create a distinct point of view for the brand at retail. Additionally, the VM Team works directly with business, operations and design functions to develop, drive and scale new concepts / retail expansion for the Nike brand across the marketplace.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for a Senior Visual Merchandising (VM) Manager to lead a team across Non Seasonal VM work. We are seeking a Senior Manager, Visual Merchandising with proven experience leading teams and operating at scale across a multi‑country retail fleet. You bring deep non‑seasonal VM expertise and can convert strategy into standards, playbooks, and reliable execution for store openings, refits & remodels, and 365/evergreen presentations including initiative zones. You set clear goals, measure performance, manage vendors and budgets, and drive continuous improvement— elevating consumer experiences and driving consistency, clarity, and brand distinction across the marketplace.

You’ll partner closely with cross-functional teams (Brand, Merchandising, Retail Brand, and Operations) to turn product stories into premium, inspiring presentations that connect athletes* to innovation and sport.

We are looking for a curious, driven, and passionate leader who loves sport retail and has a deep understanding of the role Visual Merchandising plays in delivering the ultimate consumer experience. This individual should be a proven leader in VM expertise, think strategically, and be a strong collaborator that can work seamlessly across functions. This requires them to be effective communicator and creative thought-partner who possesses the ability to influence decision-making. The ideal candidate loves working in a fast-paced, ever-evolving, positive and collaborative team environment and has a true passion for sport.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

As an EMEA Visual Merchandising Senior Manager, you will develop and deliver strategies in partnership with Non‑Seasonal VM leads to ensure teams have the tools, clarity, and information they need for flawless execution across the fleet. You will lead projects and deliverables that include, but are not limited to:

  • Own non‑seasonal VM strategy across categories: Translate business priorities and retail objectives into presentation strategies, product journeys, and playbooks/toolkits that raise the bar for every store visit.
  • Deliver functional inputs and tools: Shape the retail “end‑in‑mind” vision through accurate drawings, capacity models, and installer‑ready documentation aligned to functional code processes.
  • Operationalise Global/Geo directives: Adapt global retail marketing tools and playbooks with channel‑right guidelines, consumer‑journey frameworks, and local nuances informed by data and insights to drive efficiency, consistency, and effectiveness.
  • Partner on physical builds: Support and collaborate with Non‑Seasonal VM teams on openings, refits, and remodels to ensure functional alignment and premium execution.
  • Champion integration: Help embed an inclusive, integrated approach across VM, Retail Marketing, and cross‑functional partners to deliver a cohesive consumer experience.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

In this role, you will work with cross-functional teams across Geography & Territory organizations including Brand Marketing, Merchandising, Design, Operations and others. This role reports directly to a EMEA VM Director, and you will be expected to build and foster strong relationships that produce high quality work. You will work closely with Geo Sport and Territory teams to provide critical functional direction and to better understand relevant marketplace & competitive trends.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • Extensive background in Visual Merchandising or related retail disciplines, with proven ability to lead teams and a strong track record in managing senior-level leaders.
  • Tenured manager skills: strategic planning, decision quality, stakeholder influence, talent development & coaching, performance management, change leadership, and clear, empathetic communication—aligned to Nike’s Leadership Defined framework.
  • Proven ability to partner across functions (Brand, Merchandising, Retail) and influence at multiple levels to land work in fast-paced, matrixed environments.
  • Strong visual background with previous experience in a large scale vertical retail environment and understands reaching broad scale at an accelerated pace.
  • Experience working cross-functionally to influence decisions and drive change at scale.
  • A love of sport and sport retail.
  • Can-do demeanor with the shown ability to adapt to changes in business needs or direction.
  • Knowledge of current retail landscape and the latest trends and innovations for retail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as strong influencing & negotiating skills required.
  • Confident presentation and computer skills with command of Outlook calendar, Excel, PowerPoint and Keynote, Mac proficiency strongly preferred.
  • Ability to travel approximately 6-8 times per year.
