CNC Programming is critical for footwear concepts that drives product creation and decision-making at NIKE! We do everything from developing new designs and technologies to producing one-of-a-kind products for NIKE’s most high-profile athletes. Our team is a vital component in developing the future of NIKE footwear. We’re looking for a CNC Programmer to be part of our Bowerman Footwear Lab and the Mold & Tooling Team at NIKE’s World Headquarters.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

As a CNC Programmer, you will be an essential member of the Mold & Tooling Center Production team. You will play a critical role in supporting the overall strategy of the Bowerman Footwear Lab and Mold Manufacturing. In this role, you will be relied upon to help elevate and identify ways to accelerate our current manufacturing processes, challenges, quality, and tools including:

  • Manage multiple projects, drive collaboration with creative solutions and provide quality feedback to Mold Design, Engineers, and product stakeholders.

  • Technical Specialist to program, simulate, analyze, and finish Molds and parts.

  • Documenting operating procedures and key-learnings through project lifecycles.

  • Communicating standard technical information and/or operating procedures when projects or stakeholders require information.

  • Problem solving technical and non-technical issues through fact finding, seeking clarification and basic analysis.

  • Implement tasks with flexibility, and the appropriate sense of urgency.

  • Cultivate a deep understanding of footwear concepts with a focus on accelerating product performance, problem solving production quality and speed to market.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

  • You will work cross-functionally and collaborate with other Programmers, Engineers, Materials, and Maintenance to explore, develop, and deliver high quality and timely NIKE  products.

  • You will be interacting with partners in Nike's Global Footwear, Innovation, and Dimension teams to create Performance, Lifestyle, and sample footwear models.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing technology or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training

  • A minimum 0-1 year directly relevant work experience

  • Work experience in footwear product creation, CNC programming or related field and industry

  • Autodesk Powermill 5 axis programming is preferred.

  • G-code verification preferred. (Hexagon NcSimul)  

  • Thrive in fast-paced manufacturing environment; familiarity working on Hermle, DMG Mori, Okuma, and Makino machines, is preferred.

  • Effective project management skills and related software’s (Airtable)

  • Experience in engineering and/or manufacturing in a high-volume Prototyping environment creating high-value products

  • Versatile, detail-oriented, problem-solving skills, and comfort operating in ambiguity

  • Ability to drive collaboration and communication within a complex group

  • Familiar with CAD software (e.g., Power shape, Fusion, NX, or similar) to support CNC programming workflows.

  • Ability to create custom fixtures, move or reorient models, and perform basic surface repairs or geometry modifications

  • Attend meetings with engineers, mold designers, and CAD teams to review models and provide manufacturing recommendations

  • Strong communication skills to help align design intent with manufacturability
