The Global Digital Design team at Converse creates strategic and distinct digital experiences to inspire our audience. We’re powered by the people and style of our communities. We’re energized by our innovation and purpose. And we’re constantly searching for the stories behind our products.

Our team is made up of four different functions that work together: Creative Operations & Production, Digital Content, Digital Design and Digital Copy. Together, we strive to create content that exemplifies our Brand Mission, Values, and Purpose (aka, our MVP).

We develop content and storytelling that supports the wholesale business, and digital direct commerce ecosystem. We’re talking everything from our partner sites, to our very own Converse.com, email campaigns, paid social, and much more. As a team, we move our business goals forward through compelling brand stories, seasonal commercial stories and custom “Converse By You” content across our digital channels—all over the world.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking a highly organized and strategic Global Digital Content & Design Operations Manager to join our team. Someone with a positive & collaborative attitude, an entrepreneurial mindset who takes initiative and is eager to create and instill operational excellence for our team. This role is the backbone of our creative workflow—ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and at the highest quality. You will own, drive, and create processes for the team, continually optimizing as we go. This role will be responsible for facilitating the team to meet business objectives by enabling the creation of compelling content & design and bring to life the Converse Brand and our storytelling centered around our consumer, across our digital ecosystem.

This candidate should have a passion for the Converse Brand. Someone who is driven, strategic, thinks critically, is accountable, empathetic, resourceful, takes initiative and has great interpersonal skills. The ideal individual for this role is a multi-faceted and innovative problem-solver who has the proven ability to lead and support a team, navigate ambiguity, deliver and launch initiatives on time, on budget, and on strategy.

It is crucial for this role to have strong relationships with the immediate functions on the wider team (Content, Production, Copywriting & Design) as well as our cross-functional partners; primarily our Experience Strategy team, UX team, and Brand & Marketing teams.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

  • Oversight and management of the planning, creative, content & production process.

  • Owns the processes, works with operations team to implement, and takes initiative to gather feedback and continually optimize

  • Responsible for capacity tracking and resource management

  • Operational excellence always: ensure the team delivers high quality work, on time and on budget 100% of the time 

  • You will partner closely with our creative team to help bring the creative vision to life.

  • Attend weekly meetings with key cross-functional partners.

  • Facilitate collaboration between internal and external creative partners.

  • Establish strong and effective relationships with external partners.

  • Owner of documenting and tracking processes accurately and timely by leveraging Asana as the project management application tool.

  • Maintain understanding of all aspects of brand standards, design and production process.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills:

    • Takes initiative to consistently update team leader and all stakeholders on progress.

    • Innate sense of when to seek guidance and share problems.

    • Knows when to involve others when working on projects

    • Shares own expertise and experience with others

  • Enables Ops team members to execute the following:

    • Define scopes of work, manage project trajectories, and budget

    • Manage day-to-day tasks and deliverables

    • Track stakeholder feedback.

    • Set weekly meeting cadence, communicate agendas ahead of time, run effective meetings to ensure agendas are adhered to and time is spent productively, manages meeting time to always start and end on time, communicates next steps and follow up notes

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

As a Converse Global Digital Content & Design Operations Manager, you will work with our team of art directors, designers, copywriters, operations mangers, producers, and experience strategists. You will partner closely with teams across the Digital & Direct Organization, Brand Marketing & Creative, and Geography teams, to deliver creative experiences that supports the digital direct business goals.

This role reports to the Director of Global Digital Creative Operations.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training

  • 5+ years of direct experience working with or on a creative & content team for a major retail e-commerce organization or digital agency, specific to the footwear/apparel industry

  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and tasks, and reliably meet deadlines

  • Strong understanding of project management tools like Asana, Slack, MS Office, and Figma
