WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

This role will report directly to the Director of Platform Development and PMO Procurement. Business partner engagement will be critical to this role, and you will be working closely with procurement category teams as well as key partners in Technology, Legal, Finance, and Risk across functions and geographies.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for a Procurement Innovation Manager who will join the Global Procurement team to:

  • Support the creation of an end-to-end digital Procurement process & technology ecosystem

  •  Drive the development and implementation of innovative procurement solutions to support Nike business

  • Ensure alignment with Technology, Legal, and Risk teams to deliver a cross-functional and connected procurement ecosystem for Nike Inc.

  • Develop and maintain end-to-end capabilities, processes, and procedures for our procurement solutions

The candidate will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, experience or training

  • A minimum of 5 years directly relevant work experience

  • 5+ years of experience in product management and in an Agile development environment

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in applying continuous improvement methodologies, i.e., Lean or Six Sigma

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in Procurement or Finance

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills (including ability to quickly tailor information to different audiences based on their needs), and an understanding of organizational change management principles

  • Strong presentation and influencing skills and the ability to interact with all levels

  • Strong project management skills, including development of work breakdown structures, milestones, deliverables, and critical path dependencies

  • Experience with ServiceNow Sourcing and Procurement Operations preferred

  • Experience with Procurement tools such as Coupa, Ariba, Aravo, ORO, etc. a plus

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

If this is you, you’ll be working as part of the Global Procurement Innovation & Operations team reporting to the Procurement Innovation & Portfolio Management Office (PMO) Director to: 

  • Collaborate with Procurement leaders and teams to identify business capabilities needed to achieve category strategy and sourcing objectives 

  • Work with cross-functional teams across Procurement, Legal, Risk, Technology, and across Geographies

  • Support the development of the Procurement Ecosystem strategy by creating innovation & solution roadmaps, business cases, use cases, and requirements

  • Conduct market research to identify opportunities for Procurement to leverage innovative solutions

  • Collaborate closely with Nike Technology teams in the design, development, testing, release, and ongoing management of procurement technologies

  • Partners with Operations teams to design and establish business processes to support, maintain, and evolve the Procurement Ecosystem

  • Introduce new and innovative solutions into the ecosystem by collaborating with project management, transition management, and communications teams 

  • Develop strong working relationships with partner functions including Technology, Legal, and Risk, and across our Geographies

  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by conducting market and customer research, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional societies and continuing education
