WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a qualified Global Security Specialist to support the leadership of Nike’s Global Security Operations Center, responsible for overseeing 24/7 global security programs, including Global Incident Alerting and the Duty of Care.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
The candidate will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence in the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC), key accountabilities, program management, and oversight for the GSOC. This role is responsible for setting expectations, maintaining accountability for performance and standards, the implementation of Nike expectations, and implementing Security Operations Center solutions in conjunction with our Security Operations Team. You will help manage Incident Alerting and the Duty of Care program. Your abilities to create and operate against detailed objectives, organize, and plan resources around common goals, will enable the success of both the GSOC and Nike Inc. more broadly. This role requires problem solving, setting standards, and understanding how security technologies enable teams to react to incidents in corporate facilities, including offices, distribution centers, and manufacturing as well as events and travel.
- Operate in a complex 24/7/365 environment.
- Support the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) program.
- Simplify complex security requirements into scalable processes.
- Manage third-party vendor relationships for compliance and risk management.
- Collaborate with our Global Duty of Care provider.
- Engage with ongoing travelers and assignees.
- Oversee GSOC operations, ensuring personnel engagement and prompt task execution.
- Monitor global alerts and ensure timely responses.
- Respond efficiently to security incidents, emergencies, and alerts.
- Manage the global duty of care program, recognizing risks and resolving security incidents.
- Stay updated on emerging threats and implement preventative measures.
- Liaise with preferred suppliers and internal groups for information and escalations.
- Assist with travel communications and program management tasks.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training.
- 3+ years’ experience in managing or supervising a Security Operations Center, or security function, preferably in a Security Control Center environment, business operations, intelligence services, corporate communications, and/or public relations.
- 3+ years managing third-party vendor security and privacy programs
- Experience developing standard operating procedures.
- Strong computer and systems skills, including office software, access management, CCTV, alarm systems, and incident reporting systems. Experience with Symmetry Complete View, AMAG, Salient, iTrak, and Xchange preferred.
- Experience in travel and events industry or similar global business operations.
- Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced organization, coordinating and managing multiple tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to ensure compliance of standards and training.
- Strong strategic, analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to provide accountability for performance as well as inspire individuals on the team to perform at their best.
- Work irregular hours with frequent nighttime interruptions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, allowing for effective communication with all levels of the organization.
- Fluently read, speak, and write the English language is required, additional languages are a plus.
