The Insights Analyst for Last Mile Transportation will partner closely with our Last Mile Transportation team to provide access to key operational metrics, support sourcing events, and work closely with cross-functional peers to support Nike’s Supply Chain and Marketplace Strategy.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The Insights Analyst, Last Mile Transportation role is part of the Capacity, Performance and Planning (CPP) team within the North America Trade & Transportation team. This role is responsible for providing valuable insights and creating and analyzing end-to-end Transportation data. This role is essential to ensure that North America Transportation leverages analytics to optimize service and efficiency to support Nike’s Supply Chain and Marketplace Strategy.

This individual is highly data-driven, with a strong understanding of how data informs business decisions and addresses complex transportation challenges. They thrive in entrepreneurial environments, bringing a proactive mindset and a passion for building innovative solutions from the ground up. With a natural curiosity for business and data, they are a collaborative team player who communicates effectively, embraces continuous learning, and excels at problem-solving.

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, supply chain or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and training.

  • 2+ years of progressive experience in analytics, leveraging data-driven insights to identify, analyze, and solve business challenges.

  • 2+ years of experience with common coding languages and ETL applications (i.e. SQL, Python, Alteryx).

  • Ability to conduct root cause analysis to pinpoint variances and recommend solutions to avoid variances in the future.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with an interest in data-focused storytelling.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced and ambiguous environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Supply Chain analytics experiences

  • Experience building visualization in Tableau or PowerBI

  • Experience using Databricks

  • Consulting or Finance experience

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

Some examples of what you’ll work on include:

  • Complete analysis of financial and operational performance data (e.g. cost, service, speed) to identify key insights and opportunities to improve the end-to-end transportation network (e.g. carrier strategy, speed to market, transportation flows, etc.).

  • Design, build, and apply visual tools based on partner requirements to help provide insights to our operational partners.

  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis to support strategic top-to-top discussions with both key internal and external partners (e.g. strategic customers, carriers/vendors, and internal leadership).

  • Create reporting and insights at scale that informs and influences business decisions

  • Assist with strengthening Nike T&T’s Performance Management Strategy allowing full visibility to our core metrics.

  • Provide detailed cost metrics to ensure we’re using the right carrier in the right locations within our transportation network
