WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The Brand Business Planning team, part of the wider Nike Planning organization, is seeking an Inventory Planning Analyst. This role blends insights and analytics to anticipate how much product consumers will want, and where and when they'll want it. The offense brings together input from Supply & Inventory Management (S&IM), Business Planning (BP), Assortment Planning (AP), and Finance Portfolio Management to support a more flexible, detail‑driven approach that fuels inventory efficiency and serves consumers across EMEA.
As an Inventory Planning Analyst, the individual will transform data into actionable insights through advanced analytics. They will use these insights to elevate forecasting and inventory management processes. This role requires strong analytical capability paired with sharp business judgment to forecast and assess Nike’s inventory health across EMEA. The individual will understand shifts in consumer demand, seasonal strategies, and supply chain developments, and translate complex concepts into clear, compelling narratives. This role helps build future‑focused Inventory Planning capabilities for Nike.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
You will support the Nike Owned inventory forecasting process, using and analyzing Nike’s planning data to deliver insights on inventory risks and opportunities across multiple EMEA dimensions. You will track key inventory drivers and identify root causes to develop insights that align planning stakeholders and spark action. You will also support NVS BP & AP in creating the Closeout Supply forecast.
You will contribute to the Inventory Health Management process by applying Nike’s Global Inventory Health Evaluation capabilities to analyze inventory and marketplace data, assess composition, and determine overall inventory health.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
From a business perspective, the individual will collaborate closely with Planning functions (S&IM, BP, AP, NVS), Logistics and Operations (ELC NCO), Marketplace Operations, Finance Portfolio Management, and Global Inventory Planning.
From a technical standpoint, the individual will partner with Product Management and Tech teams at both the Geo and Global level, enhancing existing tools and shaping new solutions.
WHAT YOU BRING
• Experience in Operations Management, Operations Research, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field, with hands‑on experience applying data and analytics techniques.
• Strong numerical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a deadline‑driven environment.
• A solution‑oriented mindset with a passion for problem‑solving and unraveling complex issues.
• Experience communicating and engaging with stakeholders across multiple levels of an organization.
• Strong computer and data analytics skills.
• Advanced Excel knowledge is essential; Tableau and experience with statistical programming (e.g., Python or R) are beneficial.
• A team‑focused mindset and willingness to support peers and the business on functional tasks and projects.
• Experience with think‑cell, TM1 applications, o9, SQL, SAP, Cognos BI tools, and Cognos Planning Analytics is preferred.
