WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
In this role, you’ll report to the Manager Nike Direct Stores Assortment Planner of LatAm. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners in Merchandising, Business Planning, Allocators, Store Location Planners as well the commercial and stores team.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for an Assortment Planning Analyst to join our team who is passionate about product and Retail. In this role, you will work within the Nike Direct and Stores team to establish clear retail sales plans that tells a story for the season and drives assortment planning decisions. Ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of retail metrics, buying, forecasting and account management to deliver profitable and sustainable growth for Nike. The candidate should also possess strong ability to interpret financial sales data to make decisions and recommendations that impact the business, as well as commercial acumen and ability to influence external accounts. Strong communication skills are critical.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Engineering or related subject area, or combination of relevant education, experience and training.
Relevant work experience in merchandising planning, retail planning, demand planning or merchandising
Relevant experience in managing and understanding Retail concepts such as open to buy, gross margin, markdowns, weeks on hand, weeks on supply, sell through, seasonal trending, promotional lifts, inventory turnover and SKU/store efficiency, among others.
Advanced Excel skills including complex formulas, pivot tables & macros.
Strong ability to influence and work constructively as a team member and effectively communicate data-dense and/or sensitive topics and concepts to a wide and diverse audience to influence action.
Outstanding written and verbal communication, analytical capabilities, and strong attention to detail.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
As an Assortment Planning Analyst, you will work within the country NVS and NSP store teams and multiple key stakeholders to drive optimal style and classification plans. In this role, you will work closely with the Business Planner and Merchandising teams to determine style depth, breath, assortment flow, shipments to achieve financial and retail sales plans. You will lead pre-season and in-season merchandise assortment planning, as well as share consumer-led insights to shape future product strategies in partnership with the APLA Team.
Key Deliverables include –
Pre – Season:
Work with Merchandising and Planning APLA teams to shape product assortment plans based on retail strategies and opportunities; ensure that plan reconciles with topline financial plan developed by the Business Planner.
Partner with merchandising managers to align and make recommendations to merchandising assortment regarding seasonal product flow strategies and key opportunities and risks to hit the Business Planner forecasts.
Work with merchandisers to forecast and manage allocations for High-Heat/Launch Products, including partnering with operations on order management.
Create and reconcile hindsight analyses of last seasons to shape a better assortment plan.
In – Season:
Provide recommendations to store leaders to form the ongoing in-season recaps and analysis, monitor performance of key items and seasonal stories, taking actions to maximize revenue, margin, and inventory productivity.
Manage and establish store promotions and repricing strategies.
Make recommendations to manage health of inventory and capitalize on key consumer moments.
Share insights with cross-functional partners, ensuring the voice of consumer is well accounted for future plans and strategies.
