WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

The Senior Manager, Manufacturing Systems Engineer role is based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and reports to the Director, Manufacturing & Systems Engineering, North Asia. This role works closely with Product Risk Engineering, Product Creation, Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Systems Engineering (MSE) teams, Issue Management, Nike Manufacturing leadership, and APAC manufacturing partners to advance quality, engineering, and manufacturing excellence across the supplier base.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a strategic, hands-on manufacturing systems engineering leader who can elevate quality, Lean, industrial engineering, and garment engineering capabilities across Nike’s APAC manufacturing partner base. The ideal candidate brings strong technical depth in process engineering, manufacturing readiness, production quality, capacity planning, and continuous improvement, with the ability to translate enterprise strategy into scalable partner capabilities. This person should be comfortable working across cultures, influencing senior stakeholders, building alignment with cross-functional teams, and driving measurable improvements in manufacturing efficiency and product quality. They should also bring curiosity for advanced manufacturing technologies, automation, and emerging industry best practices while creating a culture of knowledge sharing, innovation, and operational excellence.

  • 5–7 years of relevant experience in Manufacturing Systems Engineering, with strong experience in quality, industrial engineering, Lean, and garment engineering.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications are preferred.

  • Proven leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire, influence, and develop high-performing teams.

  • Strong expertise in process engineering, manufacturing technologies, automation integration, General Sewing Data (GSD), and factory capacity planning and management.

  • Experience deploying and sustaining continuous improvement methodologies, including Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

You will build and scale foundational manufacturing capabilities across Nike’s APAC supplier base, driving quality, readiness, execution, and efficiency through engineering rigor, cross-functional partnership, continuous improvement, and the adoption of advanced manufacturing technologies.

  • You will lead strategy and execution plans to strengthen quality, Lean, industrial engineering, and garment engineering principles across Nike’s Apparel and Accessories manufacturing partner base.

  • You will partner with Product Risk Engineering, Product Creation, MSE, and Advanced Manufacturing Engineering teams to align manufacturing initiatives with Nike’s enterprise strategy and continuous improvement goals.

  • You will deploy product performance standards, standardize manufacturing processes, and build rigor into manufacturing integration and readiness to reduce production risk.

  • You will operate with world-class production quality engineering processes to help ensure products are made right the first time.

  • You will establish and monitor performance metrics to evaluate initiative effectiveness and impact on manufacturing efficiency and quality.

  • You will elevate product inspection, audit practices, marketplace feedback loops, and issue management collaboration to drive continuous product and process improvement.

  • You will facilitate knowledge sharing and best-practice adoption across teams and the global supplier base, promoting innovation, learning, and scalable manufacturing excellence.
