WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking a passionate communications professional to join the Converse GC Communications team. In this role, you will be a driving force in revitalizing the Converse brand within key Asian markets, crafting distinctive stories, strengthening and protecting our brand reputation, and engaging and inspiring our employees. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across Converse GC and Nike GC, leveraging communications to advance enterprise priorities and elevate the brand’s presence throughout GC.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

If this is you, you’ll be working with a highly motivated team in Converse GC Communications team, collaborating with other functions, at both geo and global level.

  • Leading the creation and execution of key campaigns in Converse GC communications plans, creating sustaining impact for Converse in the key markets.  
  • Partnering with Brand, Commercial and other cross-functional teams to develop and execute integrated, audience-oriented communications strategies and campaigns, in support to new product launch, key sports and culture moments.
  • Synchronizing with the Global Comms Team and driving critical Converse storytelling with GC approach and local relevancy, accelerating Converse’s position as a brand of, and for, Creators in GC. 
  • Designing employee engagement events and messaging, working in close partnership with HR team in GC.
  • Leading the continuous evolvement of the key narratives to enhance resonance across external and internal audiences.
  • Strengthening media and pro-squad influencer relations and build new connections in support to the business and brand strategy, enhancing communications impact and influence on targeted audience.
  • Leading Converse reputation protection practice with Commercial, Legal and subject-matter experts in cross-functional teams.

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

  • You will be part of Converse Asia Communications team, and report to Communications Director, Converse Asia.
  • You will work closely with Converse Global Communications team and groups of Communications teammates across the globe, as well as the cross-functional teammates in Asia which is a highly matrixed organization.
  • You will lead and manage external agency partners.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Major in communications, journalism, public relations or related field.
  • A minimum 8-year relevant work experience.
  • Previous experience working with leading consumer brand companies is preferred.
  • Insightful on media landscape with strong relations with key media.
  • Adapt quickly to changes and embrace agile way of working.
  • Proven ability to build trust with the team and work effectively in a highly collaborative team environment.
  • A self-starter who instinctively and consistently creates personal and professional stretch goals and meets them.
  • Passion for sports, wellness and a pulse on lifestyle, trends and culture is a plus.
