WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

The Lead, Digital Marketing India, will report to the Marketing Director, India and partner closely with the Brand Marketing and Digital Commerce teams in India and the Digital Marketing teams in Singapore SEA&I Office. This role will collaborate with teammates across Nike to build more effective and efficient ways to inspire and connect with athletes*.

Specifically, this role will collaborate and partner with the following key internal and external stakeholders to build integrated marketing plans: Digital Marketing, Brand Management, Digital Commerce, Brand Creative, Integrated Media, Energy Marketing, Product & Merchandising, Retail Marketing, Finance & Procurement, Agency & Production partners within India and across SEA&I and APLA.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The Lead, Digital Marketing in India is a seasoned digital marketer with a deep understanding of consumers—their lifestyles and online shopping behaviours. This incumbent supports both brand and business objectives, connecting Nike members with innovative experiences and compelling stories that reinforce the company's position as an industry-leading sport and lifestyle brand. Demonstrating teamwork and initiative, the Lead is curious, driven to innovate, and embraces a culture of testing, learning from failure, and evolving strategies. Valuing data and consumer insights, the Lead also appreciates the creative process and understands the importance of marketing technology, O2O (online-to-offline), and digital direct-to-consumer channels. As a thought partner, digital evangelist, and consumer advocate, the Lead is always ready to contribute new ideas.

In this role, the Lead is responsible for driving the digital marketing strategy to transform Nike’s brand into the most sophisticated, athlete-focused digital brand in India. Working as part of the integrated marketing team, the Lead brings best-in-class brand and commerce experiences to life for consumers, supporting an integrated Consumer Marketplace approach.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field.

  • 7+ years of experience in Digital Marketing or Brand Marketing. 

  • Passion for sport - whether you’re a seasoned athlete, just starting out or being a fan of it.

  • Understanding of the digital and e-commerce landscape, user experience and our digital platforms.

  • Experience working with e-commerce Marketplace Platforms, D2C and Brand owned digital commerce platforms.

  • Experience with digital brand and paid media strategy and planning.

  • Experience working with marketing analytics, deriving actionable insights and applying learnings.

  • Ability to drive a culture of always-on testing and learning, including the rapid application of consumer signals into strategy, planning, and content iteration.

  • Team player with experience working collaboratively and effectively in a matrix organization.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills with proven ability to juggle between the details and big picture, manage multiple and competing projects and priorities.

  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly and work in a constantly evolving environment, making judgment calls and shifts as needed.

  • Ability to thrive within a fast-paced, high energy, skilled team of marketers that have a passion for sport and culture and creating meaningful connections between consumers and the Nike brand.

  • Advocate for India consumers sharing consumer behaviors, insights and digital norms.

  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint or Apple Keynote and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

  • Excellent verbal and written proficiency in English.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping Nike's digital marketing initiatives in India, driving brand engagement, and supporting business growth. You will collaborate with multiple teams to advance Nike’s digital presence, lead impactful campaigns, and act as a key liaison for internal and external partners. Your expertise will help maximize digital marketing effectiveness, elevate the consumer experience, and ensure continuous improvement through data-driven strategies.

  • Focus on key projects that enhance consumer experiences, accelerating brand engagement and business opportunities for Nike.

  • Act as an integral member of the India Digital Marketing Team, SEA&I Digital Marketing team, India Brand Marketing, and Nike Direct Digital Commerce team.

  • Build and drive the Nike India Digital Strategy.

  • Lead digital marketing campaigns and oversee daily operations across India's digital ecosystem.

  • Develop expertise in the digital and e-commerce landscape in India to maximize marketing reach and engagement.

  • Become a subject matter expert on digital marketplace platforms, leveraging them to elevate the consumer brand experience and support member engagement and retention.

  • Serve as the brand representative and liaison with both internal and external partners to align on Nike's vision and strategy for each platform.

  • Lead the creation of premium, innovative digital experiences, exploring new marketing methods tailored to each platform.

  • Strategize and lead seasonal platform plans in partnership with Brand and NDDC, including planning for key moments and product launches.

  • Co-develop platform strategies and agreements, including search and brand ads/events.

  • Collaborate with and provide brand approvals to third-party agency partners.

  • Drive digital marketing performance with accountability to brand and business KPIs.

  • Implement digital marketing best practices informed by analytics to enhance efficiency, consistency, and effectiveness.

  • Facilitate feedback, communicate successes, and share learnings to support team growth and ongoing improvement.
