WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
Based in Shanghai, reporting directly to the Director, Digital Brand Marketing, Basketball, this role leads the Digital Brand marketing campaigns in Basketball. This role collaborates with various GC basketball marketing teams on key brand initiatives and basketball sports moments, while working closely with Nike Direct Digital Commerce (NDDC) team to drive demand and elevate consumer experiences.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking a highly motivated and consumer‑obsessed Digital Brand Marketer to be part of the Basketball category digital offense in Greater China. This role plays a pivotal part in shaping and accelerating Nike Basketball narrative across GC digital ecosystems — from social to platform to O2O — with a focus on delivering connected brand and commerce journeys, driving cultural relevance, and deepening basketball consumer engagement.
The ideal candidate brings sharp consumer insights and storytelling, strategic thinking, social and digital acumen, platform fluency, and strong cross‑functional collaboration skills. You thrive in fast‑paced environments, are passionate about hoopers and the basketball culture, and consistently elevate work through insights, creativity, and executional excellence.
- 3–5+ years of experience in brand/digital/social/creative marketing, content strategy, or related fields.
- Proven track record of leading Brand or Digital campaigns end‑to‑end.
- Strong knowledge and insights of GC hoopers and basketball community.
- Strong understanding of the GC digital ecosystem — WeChat, Douyin, RED, Tmall, JD, Nike App, SNKRS, emerging platforms.
- Ability to translate vision into storytelling, formats, and executions.
- Excellent cross functional communication, storytelling, deck‑writing, and agency management skills.
- Strong project management and cross‑functional leadership.
- Fluent in English in listening, professional writing and speaking
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
1. Drive insight-led Campaign E2E Strategy & Execution
- Lead insight analysis for campaigns with Marketing Science, Digital Platform Marketing 365, and Social Media to inform campaign strategy
- Lead digital x social strategy and execution for all basketball campaigns (e.g., brand impact stories, innovations, and seasonal sport moments) with strong obsession of consumer, platform and culture insight.
- Deliver clear positioning, narrative priorities, content roadmaps, and platform‑specific executions.
2. Drive Cross‑Functional & Geo Alignment to create bigger impact
- Serve as the digital subject‑matter expert for basketball category in cross‑function meetings, workshops, and strategic planning.
- Partner with Global and Geo basketball teams to share GC insights and learnings, join and drive early global alignment, and bring global campaign to life with local nuances.
- Align with Global Basketball Digital Teams, and GC Basketball x-functional teams for integrated go‑to‑market excellence.
3. Partner to Shape Platforms & Ecosystems
- Collaborate with Digital Platform Marketing and 365 teams, NDDC teams to elevate basketball brand presence across cahnnels.
- Identify opportunities to optimize platform journeys (e.g., content versioning, product storytelling, O2O flows).
- Drive consistency of brand standard across all basketball executions on different digital touch points.
4. Deliver Business Results
- Monitor digital performance, including engagement, conversion, traffic, and consumption.
- Drive continuous optimization based on performance readouts, platform feedback, social listening, and consumer signals.
- Contribute to basketball membership growth and brand affinity across digital and social platforms, and enhance leadership in GC basketball culture.
