WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

You’ll join Nike’s Global Technology organization as part of the Digital Employee Experience engineering team, embedded in the Communications Technology squad. This team builds next-generation AI-driven tools that transform internal workflows. You’ll report to the Engineering Manager and collaborate closely with product managers, principal engineers, and cross-functional squads to deliver scalable, secure, and innovative solutions.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Nike is seeking a Senior Software Engineer who thrives at the intersection of innovation and execution. You are passionate about building clean, scalable solutions, comfortable working across the stack, and eager to leverage modern technologies to solve complex business challenges. You’ll help shape the future of Nike’s digital employee experience by creating AI-powered tools and cloud-native applications.

Requirements:

  • Experience developing backend services and REST APIs in Python

    Proven expertise with AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Aurora RDS, S3, SNS/SQS)

  • Strong front-end development skills using React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript framework
  • Solid SQL knowledge and experience with Snowflake, Databricks, and relational databases
  • Proficiency in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS SAM)

Nice-to-have:
  • Exposure to Generative AI and LLM-based applications
  • Familiarity with SailPoint IdentityIQ API and MSGraph API
  • Experience with MLOps and deploying ML models in production
  • Knowledge of ETL tools such as Apache Airflow

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

You’ll design and build Nike’s internal communications systems, including an enterprise AI assistant that streamlines workflows and delivers personalized support through natural language interaction. Your work will focus on scalability, security, and seamless integration across Nike platforms.

In this role, you will:
  • Design and implement REST APIs in Python using FastAPI
  • Build and maintain cloud-native applications on AWS
  • Develop scalable web applications using React, HTML, and CSS
  • Optimize data pipelines and services using Databricks, Snowflake, and PostgreSQL
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins)
  • Collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, and platform teams
  • Participate in architectural design sessions and document API specifications
