Who We Are Looking For
Nike is hiring for a fixed-term contract (duration negotiable) Communications Consultant for Latin America (LatAm). This role is based in our LatAm HQ in Mexico City and sits on the Asia Pacific Latin America (APLA) Communications team.

What You Will Work On
As a Communications Consultant, you will play a key role in supporting and executing NIKE, Inc.'s communications strategies throughout Latin America. Working in the LatAm Communications team, you'll help implement communication plans and initiatives designed to engage both external audiences and employees. Through your ability to develop creative and targeted messaging, you will assist in positioning NIKE, Inc. as an innovative leader in sport and culture, contributing to our broader communications objectives within the territory.
You will contribute to communication strategies with a strong emphasis on sport, innovation, growth, and purpose, collaborating closely with our Communications Lead and Communications Specialist to execute Nike’s communication plans across Latin America with a particular focus on Mexico.
You will play a key part in supporting the rollout of external communication initiatives, particularly surrounding football with an emphasis on the upcoming World Cup 2026, helping to generate excitement and reinforce Nike’s leadership in sport and culture.
In addition to this, you’ll also help support senior leaders across the LatAm business by assisting with projects and developing communications that keep our LatAm employees informed and engaged. At times, you’ll help share important updates across the wider APLA region as needed.
In the Communications Consultant role, you will work with the LatAm Communications Team to help support global corporate communications activities and events. You’ll assist with sevearl communications projects related to the territory and contribute to the management of sports marketing assets in the region from a communications perspective. Your day-to-day tasks may include helping to draft and organize communication plans and timelines, assisting with budgeting, and coordinating approval processes for materials under the guidance of senior team members.
Candidates for this role should be available to travel 10-15%.
Who You Will Work With
This Communications Consultant role reports to the VP of APLA Communications. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with two versatile communications professionals.
What You Bring
Bachelor's degree in journalism, PR, Communications, Marketing or related field preferred
10+ years professional experience in high profile corporate communications or corporate communications and/ or public relations roles supporting globally branded organizations.
You bring hands-on experience in communications, including corporate communications, consumer and product messaging, and assisting with strategy, planning and budgeting.
You are comfortable developing creative communication materials and supporting the execution of communication strategies under the guidance of senior team members.
Your experience includes writing and editing for print, multi-media formats and digital social formats in both English and Spanish
Experience leading media relationships end-to-end
Experience working in Latin America in similar roles is preferred
Consistent record in presenting plans across sophisticated matrix on a corporate, regional and functional basis, including presenting before audiences of various sizes and cultures
Demonstrated ability to support communication initiatives within teams and across departments, including assisting with presentations and sharing information with diverse groups
Fluency in both the English and Spanish languages (written and spoken)
