WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The Lead, Visual Merchandising & Styling – Foot Locker Inc, is responsible for developing and leading visual merchandising strategy and execution across Nike’s key wholesale partners. This role ensures consistent, brand‑right presentation of Nike product in partner environments while aligning to seasonal priorities, partner needs, and operational realities.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

Partner Visual Merchandising Strategy

• Develop and lead visual merchandising and styling strategy for assigned wholesale partners

• Translate seasonal brand narratives and product priorities into partner‑specific visual direction

• Ensure consistency of Nike brand standards across partner doors while allowing for local execution

• Ability to navigate ambiguity and pivot visual merchandising strategy in response to evolving business needs, partner priorities, timelines, and market conditions

Retail Direction & Execution

• Create and deliver visual merchandising directives, retail briefs, and seasonal playbooks

• Partner with cross‑functional teams to align on assortments, fixtures, and execution timing

• Provide guidance on scope of work, execution standards, and store‑level priorities

Partner & Cross‑Functional Collaboration

• Serve as the primary visual merchandising contact for key partner accounts

• Build strong relationships with partner retail teams to enable effective execution

• Collaborate with Sales, Integrated Retail Marketing, Brand, Styling, and Operations teams

Team & Resource Leadership

• Lead and influence internal visual merchandising teammates and external agency partners

• Establish ways of working, visit models, and communication rhythms

• Share best practices, learnings, and opportunities across the broader VMS organization

Measurement & Continuous Improvement

• Evaluate execution quality through store visits, reporting, and partner feedback

• Identify opportunities to improve processes, tools, and execution models

• Support test‑and‑learn initiatives to evolve partner visual merchandising capabilities

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

The role partners closely with Sales, Integrated Retail Marketing, Brand, Styling, Product, and Operations teams, as well as external agency partners and Foot Locker retail leadership. This role also serves as the primary visual merchandising point of contact for assigned partner accounts. Collaboration happens within Nike’s matrixed organization, requiring strong communication, influence, and alignment across functions and geographies.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 6+ years of experience in visual merchandising, retail, or brand experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Visual Merchandising, Design, or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training.

  • Experience working in wholesale or partner retail environments

  • Strong understanding of retail presentation, storytelling, and the consumer journey.

  • Proven ability to work cross‑functionally within a matrixed organization.

  • Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Experience leading visual merchandising across multiple partner accounts.

  • Experience managing agencies or third‑party vendors.

  • Background in sport, lifestyle, or premium retail brands.

  • Ability to influence and lead without direct authority.

  • Strong strategic thinking and retail acumen.

  • Proven partner management experience.

  • Demonstrated cross‑functional collaboration and operational excellence.

  • Travel - Up to 30% travel (domestic)
